Lead Dianna Bartel "Uphill"
Description
"My work celebrates all the things of nature that bring joy. My paintings are contemporary, highlighting simple shapes, movement and vibrant color. I hope that you see them, smile and think of all the good things outside. Several years ago, I got tired of looking at other artists' work and thinking I should do that, or I could do that, and realized that the only difference between those working artists and me was that they were trying, and I was talking about it. I've since found my stride, selling my work and tapping into a creative space that has brought me immense joy. I've found my place in a world that I thought had long since passed me by, and now I understand that the journey that brought me to this has been the goal all along." Acrylic on Canvas. Framed, 25H x 25W. Dianna Bartel is a contemporary landscape painter inspired by the Kansas landscape's wide-open spaces and skies. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Science. After working professionally with public schools, museums and university environments for many years, she has now embraced her calling to create through painting. Her work is vibrant and gestural in nature, intended to represent the joy inherent in creation.
