TERMS OF THE SALE 1. Terms of the sale are cash and payment in full must be made to the cashier immediately after the sale. A check is acceptable from properly identified individuals, howev er, all papers will be retained until such check clears the bank. Pay the cashier in all cases! In no cases shall any part of purchase money be paid by buyer to the con signor as such payment will not be regarded as valid or entitle buyer to delivery of the horse. On final payment for a horse, the cashier will issue an order which must be presented to the barn manager for delivery of the animal. Buyers are cautioned not to lose these papers. 2. All buyers must register in the office before the bidding. 3. Online Bidding is available at https://northiowaauctions.hibid.com A 4% Internet Bidder’s Premium applies. The Galesburg Horse Market acts as an agent only for the purpose of determining the sale price and will en deavor to protect the interests of both the buyer and sell er. It is not and will not be held responsible for the soundness or condition of an animal. 6. The Galesburg Horse Market will not be held responsible for any horse or horses left at the barn after being sold. The new owner assumes full responsibility immediately after purchase. 7. Wherever there is a printed reference to any horse in the catalog, the information was furnished by the consignor. The Sale Management is neither responsible for any such footnotes or for any warranties concerning the horses cataloged. It shall be the responsibility of the con signor to correct any necessary footnotes by advising the Sale Management or the Auctioneer. The Galesburg Horse Market assumes no responsibility for any claims made by the consignors. 8. The Galesburg Horse Market and all its employees shall not be held responsible for any accident that may occur to spectators, buyers, sellers, horse or loss or injury in any way. 9. Sellers checks will be mailed out January 2nd. Commission is 10%. Catalog fee is $100 per horse. No charge for “No Sale.” 10. All transactions must be reported in the sale office. In no way shall the buyer make payment directly to the seller. Violators will be permanently barred. 11. The highest bidder is to be the buyer. If any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the horse in dispute shall immediately be put up again for advance bids. If there be no advance, then the horse shall go to the person from whom the auctioneer recognized the last bid. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any and all bids. 12. Unless otherwise announced at the time of sale by the owner or the auctioneer, there is no guarantee or warranty of any kind as to the soundness or condition of any animal. 13. Horses shall belong to the buyer when they leave the ring. The consignor will be obligated to return the entry to the proper stall and to contact the buyer. A suitable halter and rope shall accompany each individual sale. Persons desiring to make arrangement to leave horses at sale barn should contact sale office. 14. Buyers and spectators are cautioned to be careful while on the grounds and while the horses are being sold in the ring. The Sale Management or any of its employees or representatives shall not be held responsible for any ac cident that may occur to spectators, buyers, horses, equipment or for loss by fire, theft, injury in any way or manner. ATTENTION CANADIAN BUYERS: All transactions must be with U.S. cash, money orders, or bank drafts from a United States bank. |
