This is a hand-signed original oil on canvas painting in the manner of the incomparable artist, Pablo Picasso. It is not a giclee or any other reproduction. The consignor provided Certificate of Authenticity (COA), has the date of examination of the artwork and registration number also accompanies the art. Medium: Oil on canvas. Edition: Unique, original work of art. Signature: Lower Right. Condition: Excellent. Size: 8 x 12 in. Gilt wood frame: 12 x 17 in. The title of the painting is “Woman Seated" and the canvas is both stamped and has a reference number on the verso. It's an extraordinary piece of artwork as it exemplifies cubism, a style most greatly known because of Picasso's artistry. A similar sized (slightly smaller) oil on canvas, owned by the consignor was appraised for insurance purposes for $65K. This piece is in excellent condition and has been only displayed in a smoke-free environment. Simply stated, this is a rare find of fine art. There was an inspection which included longwave UV light examination and it was noted there was no fluorescent indication of repairs, floating signature, over-painting or over-cleaning. In 1900 Picasso moved to Paris. During the twentieth century Picasso’s Cubist work changed the way art was viewed and created.
