Description
présentation Le terme nacre désigne la partie interne de la coquille de mollusques, parfois irisée parfois de type porcelaine. La nacre est constituée de couches superposées de cristaux qui forment à sa surface non travaillée des petites falaises sinueuses d’allure très caractéristique. Sculptée et polie, la nacre laisse percevoir ces zones d’accroissement qui évoquent alors les fibres du bois. La nacre des huîtres perlières est la plus souvent utilisée et provient des fermes perlières des mers du Sud.
