**ANDREW WILSON & CO ONLINE AUCTION FEBRUARY 25th-26th** LOT NUMBER: 32 NAME: Magnet BREED: Welsh SEX: Gelding HEIGHT (Approx) 12.3h AGE: 12 DESCRIPTION (as provided by vendor) Magnet is a quiet, 12 year old, approximately 12.3 / 13hh (unofficially measured) chestnut Welsh Pony gelding with lots of bling. Magnet has been ridden by our confident 10 year old. She takes him to pony club, attended pc camp, taken out on trail rides, good with traffic, through bush, chased cows and sheep at home, open gates, ride bare back in headstall, good with dogs, motorbikes, great with other horses, competed at both rodeo gymkhanas in barrel racing, bending, flag etc and formal PC Gymkhanas in show riding, show jumping and sporting. Magnet has an exceptional scopey jump, with our daughter jumping 80cm at home on him and competed Intro/E grade and is an absolute gun sporting pony. He always picks up the right canter leads, transitions amd flying changes. Magnet has very showy looks with plenty of bling and beautiful confirmation. Magnet always brings home ribbons, especially when it comes to sporting. He is a good doer, never foundered, great legs and feet. Good to trim/pick up feet, rug. Has no buck, bite or kick and will tie all day. Catch with a bucket of feed. He is up to date with his teeth, feet, worming, strangles and tetanus. Magnet is NOT nasty at all but is forward moving. He can have that typical pony attitude and will try to away with what he can. For this reason, he is not suitable to a beginner or small child. Magnet is suited to a horsey home, with a confident rider who can get the best out of him. If you're looking for a pony to have fun with or a competive mount, this is your fella. With his showy looks, scope, agility and speed, we would love to see him excel to the top in the riders chosen discipline, such sporting, cross country, showjumping, show riding or campdraft/sorting. Magnet is a complete all-rounder and would also be great for those who just want to ride at home, on the farm, doing stock work and trail riding. He is easy to load onto any float, however he can scramble and can be unsettled in a straight load float. This is the reason for his sale, as I am uncomfortable with floating him in our 2HSL. We truck him on our families truck without any issues. For the above reason, we only recommend him to be trucked or angle loaded. NO straight load! It is a forced sale by my husband. I would happily not sell him - but we have 2 horses for my daughter that we can straight load and my husband says I can't keep them all or I would!!! This is a very genuine and sad sale. We have a reserve on him, to ensure he goes to a good home. It is a very hard sale for our daughter, as she loves him so much. We had big plans for them going up the grades together in eventing and to continue to bring home the blues in sporting. If we owned an angle load float or we didn't travel most weekends to compete/attend pony club, he wouldn't be for sale. Unfortunately we can't keep a horse that i am not comfortable with taking out every weekend in our 2hsl. He was pulled out of the paddock last week, ridden for the first time in almost 6 weeks with no issues. Then competed on Saturday (2nd ride in 6 weeks) coming home with wins in barrels, bending, Western bending and boot race. Please see 2 videos attached and photos. All recent.
