Lead Arisaka Type 99 Rifle 7.7mm
Description
Description Early Japanese Arisaka Type 99 Series "5" model of 1939 in 7.7mm with a five round internal capacity and a 26" barrel. This rifle was a "Surrender Weapon" of WW2 having the receiver proof of a "Chrysanthemum" ground off. The metal butt plate is in fair condition with moderate wear and metal oxidation. The wood stock is in fair condition with heavy handling wear, scratches, chips, dings and a line spiced through the butt stock. The "Cock on Closing Action" bolt and receiver are in good condition with touches of metal oxidation and finish wear throughout. The bolt has a factory dust shield in good condition with metal oxidation. The trigger/guard are in good condition with light metal oxidation. The magazine floor plate is in good condition with light pitting and metal oxidation. The barrel is in good condition with touches of metal oxidation. The rifle is mounted with anti-aircraft sights with lead arms, one arm is missing. The rifle from factory is mounted on the front fore end with a wire "Monopod" in very good functioning condition. The rifle comes with its original leather shoulder strap in poor condition heavy wear and very old. This strap is full Kanji characters on the inside. The bolt action is tight, with a crisp trigger pull. The rifled bore has a grain to it. This rifle is C&R eligible. Barrel Length: 26" Serial: 44241 Caliber: 7.7mm

Payment is due within 7 days of invoice date. Invoices are generally sent within 2 business days of sale date. CT Firearms Auction accepts payment by cash, check, wire transfer, and all forms of credit cards. 3% Discount for Check payment. The fastest method of payment is by credit card through our online payment portal. Please note that first time and out-of-state checks require clearance prior to the release of merchandise. Additionally, high value and restricted items may require additional clearance time regardless of payment method. Some transactions may be subject to mandatory wire transfer payment.
Handguns ship for $35, Long Guns for $45 (insurance included *) Special and large Shipping quotes must be obtained at least 48 hours prior to the auction. All items over 10 lbs or 45" OAL may incur oversize shipping charges. Pickup of all winning items is ONLY by appointment during normal business hours. Pickup appointments scheduled through online calendar link in your invoice instructions. Storage beyond 14 days of the auction is not available and all winning items must be removed, shipped or delivered within 14 days of auction date. Any lots that left longer than 14 days may be forfeit unless prior arrangements are made in writing.
