Lead Kornbrath Engraved Winchester 12 Trap Shotgun
Description
Description Absolutely stunning Winchester model 12 features a well documented and executed panel scene with fine scroll engraving from one of the most famous and desired American master engravers Rudolph Kornbrath. Manufactured in 1928. Front Ivory bead sight and silver middle bead on the deep gloss 30" vent rib “Nickel Steel" barrel. Includes typical markings and proofs and marked “FULL" choke. The receiver is engraved with highly detailed scene of pheasants on the right and a bird dog on the left. The birds and dogs are surrounded by wedges of tight leafy scroll work with heavily detailed, shaded, backgrounds. The receiver is marked/signed “Engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath" on left panel in window with dog engraving. Marked “TRAP" under the serial number. The trigger guard is engraved to match. Expertly checkered forearm with free form carved accents and Monte Carlo stock with matching blue steel grip cap and solid black rubber Pacmayr recoil pad. Must Ship to FFL or C&R Condition: Excellent as expertly engraved by Kornbrath, and refinished accordingly. 98% bright polished blue finish remains with some rub marks on the underside of the barrel from cycling and one tiny spot of blue loss on the rib. Bolt has cycling wear on the jeweled side. The wood is excellent and free of distractions with only some handling scratches and faint crackling of the clear coat, consistent with age. CT Firearms Auction accepts payment by cash, check, wire transfer, and all forms of credit cards. 3% Discount for Check payment. The fastest method of payment is by credit card through our online payment portal. Please note that first time and out-of-state checks require clearance prior to the release of merchandise. Handguns ship for $35, Long Guns for $45 (insurance included *) Special and large Shipping quotes must be obtained at least 48 hours prior to the auction. All items over 10 lbs or 45" OAL may incur oversize shipping charges. Pickup of all winning items is ONLY by appointment during normal business hours. Pickup appointments scheduled through online calendar link in your invoice instructions. Storage beyond 14 days of the auction is not available and all winning items must be removed, shipped or delivered within 14 days of auction date. Any lots that left longer than 14 days may be forfeit unless prior arrangements are made in writing.
