Lead 18CZ-25 WINDER MUSKET
Description
Winchester Low-Wall Winder single shot musket, .22 caliber, Serial #124264. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 28” barrel. The barrel retains a significant amount of its muted blue finish with a replacement globe target front sight. The receiver has gone primarily brown patina with some old flaking blue still present wear at side mount sight was removed, leaving four open holes on the right side and is martially marked, US at the tang. A Vernier style tang sight has been added during the period of use. The smooth wood stock is in good condition showing heavy use with mars and compressions. The butt ends with a smooth, steel crescent butt. The bore is fair, the markings are legible and the action is crisp. Est.: $400-$800. (C+R).
