Description
Marlin Model 1895 lever action rifle, 40-65 caliber, Serial #138183. The rifle is in very good to nearly fine overall condition with a 28” octagon barrel with a silver knife blade front and standard rear sights. The barrel and full-length magazine retain the majority of their blue finish with sharp edges, wear at the muzzle and small mars. The receiver is a silver/grey patina with areas of old, toned case hardening still evident. The smooth wood stock is in good condition with mars, compressions and slight bruising associated with carry and use. The butt stock ends with a smooth, steel crescent butt plate. The bore is good, the markings are sharp and action is crisp on this very acceptable Model 1895 circa 1896. $700-$1,400. (Antique).
