Description
U.S. marked Winchester Low Wall single shot rifle, .22 Short caliber, Serial #127045. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 27” barrel. The “Winder Musket” is a blade front sight and a Lyman aperture sight added at the tang. The barrel and receiver retain a significant amount of their blue finish with the remainder going to a grey patina. The rifle is martially marked, U.S. at the tang with the flaming bomb emblem. The smooth wood stock is in good condition showing moderate use and wear with mars and compressions. The butt ends with a smooth steel butt plate. The bore is fair, the action crisp and markings are sharp on this martially marked low wall. The lot includes a period leather military style sling. Est.: $500-$1,000. (C+R).
