Terms & Conditions:
Before a bid can be placed, all Bidders must first complete the "Buyer Registration" form. All submitted information must be accurate and current, and it is the duty of the Bidder to keep his or her information updated whenever necessary. Registered credit cards will not be charged unless the registrant becomes the Buyer. All registered credit cards will be subject to a USD$1.00 fee to validate the card.
There will be an 18% BP charged on top of the hammer price and then a 6% sales tax for each item won through internet bidding.
Upon registration, the Bidder warrants that they are of legal age in their country and have read and understood all the following terms and conditions listed above and below, which apply to all auctions conducted by us and any Bidders/Buyers in said auctions. All sales are final. All items are sold "as is-where is" with all faults and blemishes and no warranty expressed or implied. Bidders are encouraged to preview and inspect all items. It is bidder's responsibility to determine condition, value, usefulness, functionality, authenticity, and all other factors. W. Wachter Auctions & Associates is not responsible for errors of description. Bidder, including internet bidder, shall be the sole judge of value.
PRIVACY POLICY We reserve the right to: cancel bids and/or restrict the use of our site; refuse service to anyone at any time; add or remove items at any point in the auction; revise descriptions of the items if a change needs to be made; ban users for violating our terms and conditions; hold items until the payment has been cleared; withdraw any item and to re-offer the item at another time; resell any items that have not been paid in full by the payment deadline. We are not responsible for the misinterpretation or misunderstanding of items and/or descriptions, if any, by the bidder; it is the bidder's responsibility to understand the item thoroughly before bidding. In any cases of dispute, our decision is final. All legal matters will be settled as per Maryland State law and the Bidder/Buyer consents that the venue be in Carroll County Maryland. All items are sold on an AS IS, WHERE IS basis, with all faults. We make every effort to represent all items clearly and accurately in photographs and descriptions and will indicate any major defects on an item when it is known by us.
Some items may have a Reserve. In this case, items with a Reserve cannot be won until a bid has reached the Reserve price.
In the event that a picture and description do not match, the description takes precedence. If we are prevented by fire, theft, or any other reason whatsoever from delivering and/or shipping items to the Buyer, our liability shall only be limited to the sum that was paid.
SOFT CLOSE POLICY In the event that a bid is placed on an item in the final minutes of an auction sale, the auction will automatically be extended for an additional 3 minutes to prevent 'auction sniping'. The extension will continue until all the bids have stopped.
CONDITION OF ITEMS We take every effort to accurately describe all items offered in its sales, we do not provide warranty for labor and craftmanship on jewelry and watches. We have knowledgeable staff to provide as accurate description as possible using the knowledge of our staff. When appraisals are included with an item are for insurance purposes only. The value indicated is the staff or appraiser's opinion and only reflects its replacement cost. Most appraisals only indicate USA value of the item. ** Returns are not accepted; ALL SALES ARE FINAL. By placing a bid, the bidder/buyer has signified that the description of the item(s) in question is satisfactory and will not be entitled to make any objections after the sale.
SALES TAX out of state bidders are not subject to any tax in Maryland.
PAYMENT AND INVOICING
Invoices will be sent by email the next business day and orders will be shipped within 5 business days after payment is received. All payments are accepted in US funds. Bidder/Buyer is responsible for keeping their credit card up to date and ensuring the necessary funds is available on their card.
ATTENTION: INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS International Buyers are responsible for paying all customs, duties, and taxes in their countries.
SHIPPING & HANDLING:
We use USPS and. We charge the cost of supplies used to pack the items (Box ('s) packing materials etc.), actual USPS postage and $5.00 per postage label i.e. each box. We do put as much as possible in each box for safe shipment. In the case where more than 1 box is required, the same fees apply to each additional box as stated above. Once your payment has been processed, we will then prepare your items for shipping and charge the shipping costs once ready for shipping.
Once your items are delivered or picked by shipping provider or for items shipped internally, once USPS or UPS has confirmation of pickup, the item becomes yours and W. Wachter Auctions & Associates will have no liabilities from that point forward. On jewelry and high dollar items we recommend shipping insurance and will be charged at rate according to USPS and or UPS insurance rates and will be paid by you the bidder/buyer at the time item is packaged and shipped. If you the bidder/buyer decline to have insurance do so with the full understanding that you are doing so against the recommendation of W. Wachter Auction and Associates and are doing it at your own risk and hold harmless W. Wachter Auctions & Associates for any and all lost, stole or damaged packages.
PICK UP: Pick Up Time for this auction will be Tuesday March 27, 2018 10:00AM - 3:00PM at our location 1600 West Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784
