Description

Last in operation in 2011 Gribetz 100” Quilting Machine DESCRIPTION: 1. The Gribetz High Speed Double Lock Chain Cam Driven Quilting Machine was design was based on using the Union Special double lock chain stitch sewing machine’s looper stitch principles and substituting a looper drive for a lock stitch shuttle bottom feed. 2. Designed for high speed heavy duty double lock chain quilting for transportation, automotive, household, utility and recreational usage. 3. Used specifically to produce quilted material with 18 to 30 oz. cotton fiber filler. With timing changes, fillers of polyester, shoddy or foam can be substituted and quality quilted. 4. Uses top & bottom woven fabric layers of 1 to 8 oz. cotton and/or poly-cotton fibers. 5. 1 x 3 x 6 design with all needles placed on front bars. 6. Timing options of 5 to 8 stitches per inch depending on filler and fabric. 7. 220 volt 3 phase gear driven motor with a cam driven zig-zag design pattern. 8. Production speed: with approx. 1000 rpm, production of 500 to 1000 yd. per 8 hr. shift depending on filler and fabric quilted. This quilting machine was running in good condition when the plant closed. This machine is being sold off our plant production floor. All repairs and maintenance performed by company maintenance. This machine has not been moved or stored in a warehouse. 2. This machine is considered used equipment and is sold as an “AS IS PURCHASE”. 3. Buyer is responsible for removal insurance to protect Buyer and Seller during the loading process. 4. Buyer takes responsibility of the purchased machine in the plant production area. Seller will then disconnect electrical power prior to removal. 5. Buyer is responsible for machine’s removal, loading and transportation. 6. This sale is final with no warranties given, implied or otherwise. MULTI-NEEDLE QUILTING MACINE HISTORY USA lockstitch multi-needle quilters were first developed by Paradise Machine Co. in Patterson NJ. EMCO and Pathe Machine Company principals were trained by Paradise. EMCO “Edgewater Machine Co.” designed a lighter frame machine used for the bedding industry. Pathe’s design was closer to Paradise’s heavy duty frame and sold into the bedding, automotive and industrial industries. The Gribetz High Speed Double Lock Chain Quilting Machine was designed based on using the Union Special double lock chain stitch sewing machine principles of substituting a looper drive for a shuttle bottom feed.
