Description
*** This lot is eligible for media mail to reduce shipping costs. *** Partial collection of 23 books from the Franklin Library limited edition "100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature" series. This series was published under the auspices of the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration (specifically PL 93-179). All books have some very light wear (additional wear noted by each book). Some books have a previous owner's ex libris bookplate (others have this removed). All books have a handwritten number on a blank page, usually opposite the ex libris. Each of the books in this lot (except #1 The Scarlet Letter) includes a small booklet of editorial notes about the book. These have varying degrees of staining. There is a single large booklet which explains this series and includes the list of literary consultants which chose the works. This booklet has staining and some small tears.
