Lead 12pc Pablo Picasso Portfolio of Fifteen Drawings
Description
12 Pieces by Pablo Picasso, titled "Portfolio of Fifteen Drawings" with COAs. They were 15 famous drawings (offering 11 drawings and portfolio cover in this lot) printed in lithographic plates. The edition was 500 unsigned and unnumbered. Picasso received 50 copies from this portfolio; he signed 25 in graphite (pencil) and the other 25 in red crayon. Origin: In 1946 Picasso authorized to Albert Carman, City Island, NY to reproduce some paintings in a large format folio to distribute in well known Galleries like: Kleeman Galleries, NY, Museum of Modern Art, Jack Selingman & Co, NY and some others. Art titles include (1) Weeping Woman, signed in graphite, (1) Head of Woman, signed in graphite, (1) Table Before Window, signed in graphite, (1) Harlequin and Boy, signed in graphite, (1) Man with Pipe, signed in graphite, (1) The Basket, signed in graphite, (1) Portrait of a Lady, signed in graphite, (1) Four Ballet Dancers, signed in graphite, (1) Bathers, signed in graphite, (1) Family at Supper, signed in graphite, and (1) Saltimbanque, signed in graphite.
