Baxter Auction is having a wonderful ONLINE ONLY sale with only 10% Buyers Premium This sale will be ending on Sunday April 7th at 7pm with a soft close. A soft close allows everyone a fair chance to bid on the item. Each time a bid is placed more time will be added to the clock to allow all bidders a chance to win the item. We are excited to present this first session of an incredible collection from a well travelled English Professor who had a keen eye for beautiful Art, Rugs, Fine China, Gorham Sterling Silver and various other high quality antiques and curiosities. Featuring more than twenty antique and semi antique hand knotted Persian rugs, he was aptly described by his son as a "loon for the knots". He also enjoyed collecting Mid Century Art from notable artists of the period (and earlier periods as well). Much of the artwork in this first session was freshly discovered in the attic, some put away for decades. There are a number of interesting original examples of Illustration Artwork featured in early novels from the late 19th to early 20th century from the Bobbs Merrill Co. You will find many ancillary pieces of "Etruscan" pattern Gorham Sterling Silver flatware to start or add to your own collection. Antiques such as the Dandy Dan Velocipede were no doubt inherited from previous generations of family collectors. Also, we are thrilled to offer some exemplary pieces of Royal Crown Derby China in Old Imari pattern. Vintage costume jewelry and Handmade Italian shoes are examples of the fashion items featured. If you believe you are tax excempt please do not assume I have your information on file. New slips need to be filled out every year. Even if you register with Hibid I do not see your information. So please email Baxterauction.indy@gmail.com or text Lucas at 574-252-9784 to verify you are in fact tax exempt. This needs to happen before the sale starts and if you are finding us late I'll give you one hour after the last item sells to get your information to us. We have a strict NO EXEMPTIONS RULE. If you want to save the money you have to do your part. Pickup for this sale will be Tuesday April 9th from 2-7pm at 8033 E 46th Street. If you can not make that time please let us know and hopefully we can work something out. Shipping is avaiable on most lots unless noted. We require that if your item costs more then $100 it must be insured for whatever your purchase amount is. We have had a few issues and that is the only way to cover all parties involved. We will charge your credit card on file with Hibid one hour after the sale unless you call or email to make arrangements. We are happy to work with you but we need to know what you want to do.
