130) “EMPRESS BRIDE” BRUNETTE PT PINK SILHOUETTE DRESSED BOX DOLL #101 • Closing out the boxed doll section of the Auction is this amazing Barbie rarity! • I have unearthed the epitome of rare in our Barbie World to offer you. After extensive research and interviews with Barbie experts and historians, along with my own research, I have compiled the most accurate information I can offer you on this elusive set • To find this exquisite piece in the original 7” wide Pink Silhouette box with the KB Store Paper label 102, with neck liner affixed to box bottom and accessories in original cello is truly a rarity • I tried my best not to disturb the contents of this set to include as many details possible • Included in this set is a pristine #5 red lipped all original jet-black hair PT in original top and bottom wrap with hard curl in bottom PT, band has broken in one place but is intact in hair. She has the fullest bangs ever! • Beautiful vibrant bright makeup, piercing blue eyes, tan brows and earring holes at ears wearing replaced pearls • Her tagged one shoulder gown is a lovely silver metallic threaded fabric with a red/white/blue satin ribbon around waist and at shoulder. She comes wearing long white opera gloves and perfect untouched wrist tag on wrist, backside of tag reads “Imported from Japan”. There are two faint yellow spots on the back of gown (see photos), again a humidity issue as previously outlined with these delicate fabrics that are prone to this • Accessories are in original cello, seal on side of package is loose. Contents include Skipper’s floral headpiece, plastic wedgies (appear in original cello), white plastic fan with gold edging and lovely rope streamers. Her 2-pc mint black pedestal stand with gold lettering is exquisite. Larger early version of JE booklet included • The box lid appropriately marked #102 is in good condition. Finding this set with the original labeled box is rarely seen. Both end flaps have split, are intact, and there were some old repairs done to box, residue of cello tape remains. Box bottom is excellent, original neck liner affixed to box bottom, there is some slight creasing on bottom and at edges with a watermark on the box bottom.
