108) #1 BRUNETTE PONYTAIL BARBIE MIB
• This exquisite beauty will astound you, as she is absolutely a remarkable hand painted beauty
• Interesting fact: until the makeup stencils had been approved for mass production, the early dolls were all hand painted
• Jet black hair is in the original styling with bands and hard curl present, hard curl has flattened from being stored in box
• Her soft curly awning bangs compliment her bewitching face. Bangs could use a light recurling at the right side of her bangs
• She has all the hallmarks associated with these early hand painted dolls including the rooting pattern, length and thickness of hair, brush strokes in brows, the rawness of the painting of the iris in the eyes and eyeliner
• Face paint is all original and mint, with tan brows, soft eye shadow and matte red lips (hint of fading at right corner)
• Face vinyl has a bisque like finish and is a light golden ivory color which matches her torso and arms to perfection
• Earring holes at ears, no green
• She has light purple shoe stains on feet and beautiful red polish on toes and fingers
• Both copper tubes are present in feet, one tube slightly protruding from foot
• There is a small nick in vinyl, possibly factory, as she is virtually unplayed with, visible under my 10x magnification loop at the back of left armhole. I tried to capture this in the photo
• Includes #1 TM excellent plus stand, black OT #1 heels, #1 booklet, sunglasses, hoop earrings and replaced liner in box
• Her swimsuit is the earlier version with larger zebra print stripes
• Box is a TM version box marked Brunette and is a bit faded. Two corners are split, and some tape residue is on the box lid. Original price sticker from Sanders of $3.00 on end flap
• What a phenomenal treasure to add to your early ponytail collection
• Suggested $7500-$8500
