MIDNIGHT JAPANESE SIDE-PART COVER DOLL FROM BARBIE IN JAPAN BOOK • Here is your chance to own a rare piece of Barbie history! This stunning doll was the model featured on the cover of the Barbie in Japan Book according to the records from consignor • This sought after doll, offered to the Japanese market, has beautiful luxurious dark hair which is a rich Midnight color and held in place with her original turquoise ribbon and silk string in hair • Outstanding face paint is super high color with smoky blue eye shadow, deep blue eyes, raspberry lips and blush • Face vinyl is fresh and peachy and as is typical with these dolls, she has light fading at tip of nose and at chin area • In doing my research I found these dolls were sold on three different bodies: Pink European Bendable Leg Body, Pink Standard Body and occasionally a Tan S/L Body • Body is the S/L tan version body with beautiful polish on hands. I did not check her feet as she is wearing her fragile Zori slippers with attached socks • She comes wearing her near mint-to-mint Barbie in Japan costume • Accessories include her samisen, fan, travel pamphlet and three hair ornaments • What a magnificent item to add to your collection • Suggested $2495-$2995
