FantaSea Venice was a public arts project in which the Venice Art Center in Venice, Florida partnered with local sponsors and artists to create unique designs for 22 fiberglass mermaids and 30 fiberglass seahorses. We have a total of 44 statues available at this auction, along with a painting. These one-of-a-kind sculptures, adorned by the most talented artists in the region, were on display throughout Venice for the last two years. The sculptures appeared in approved locations around Venice, Florida on city streets, parks, lobbies, businesses, etc through March 2023. There were multiple public activities, fundraisers, and entertaining events associated with this project throughout the past two years. The project provided a map and online app for visitors to find all the sculptures around Venice. People were encouraged to find them all and were entered into a prize drawing when they did. Now, many of the seahorse and mermaid sculptures are available for purchase. Patrons can be the proud owners of these magnificent sculptures! The live auction, which will also accept online bids in real time, will be taking place Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Venice Yacht Club in Venice, Florida.
