The Cortina was available with 1200 cc and from early 1963 1500 cc four-cylinder engines with all synchromesh gearbox, in two-door and four-door saloon, as well as in five-door estate (from March 1963) forms.
The saloon models featured large, round, 'Ban the Bomb' taillight clusters. Standard, Deluxe, Super, and GT trims were offered, but not across all body styles.
This Ford Cortina 440 is best described as a survivor in very original condition still sporting its original 1500cc engine that was rebuilt by Ford Australia approximately 40000 miles ago (see photo of engine plate)
It stayed with its original owner for many years until the current owner took over the ownership in its current condition.
A very solid and honest body despite being brush painted at some stage of its life, but beneath this the car is very much untouched.
The car is a prime candidate for a partial restoration or leave it patina style and just drive it on club outings if preferred.
Mechanically the car is very good for its age.
A great opportunity to pickup what is now a hard to find MK1 440 Cortina.
Don't miss this little ripper.
