I can't believe I'm selling this, but here it is: My nice, fully working, 1994 Williams DEMOLITION MAN pinball machine - being sold right out of my Pinball Paradise arcade in McLean, IL!!! This game is on the floor for play right now, so you can come play it before bidding if you wish. I have had this game in Pinball Paradise for about a couple of years, and it has been fully working the whole time. I have probably replaced a few rubber bands, rebuilt a flipper or two, replaced some light bulbs, and that type of maintenance stuff, but it has been working. It has been a very reliable game, and I hate to sell it. But alas, I need money to pay my property taxes and this is a game I have a backup for in the warehouse, so I need to sell something of value to raise funds....here it is!
I fully shopped this game a couple of years ago, where I actually removed everything from the playfield, cleaned and waxed it, replaced all the light bulbs and rubber bands with new, and made sure everything was 100% fully working. It has gotten some play since then, but is still 90% clean I would estimate. And it is still 100% fully working. The elevator / crane "toy" in the corner is fully working and I have never had a lick of trouble with it (some Demo mans do experience problems with this assembly).
This is the LAST pinball I ever did a full shop job on without using LED bulbs. I wasn't sold on them at the time, and stuck with new incandescent bulbs. Which is fine, but now I am sold on LEDs and use them when shopping a game. You can buy an LED kit for this and LED it without too much effort if you win it and want such a thing. I think the kits are about $100-150 depending on the game.
The cabinet is in pretty good condition with no structural problems or water damage. It has a few flaws / scrapes but for the most part is in nice shape. The coin door is excellent and has two working quarter mechs AND a working bill acceptor! I usually take those off before selling a game, but I'm going to just leave this one on as you may need it. If you decide to buy this for your home rec room and have absolutely no need for the bill acceptor, I would be happy to remove it and install the blank plate in its place if you would let me keep the b/a for another game. But that's entirely up to you.
The dot matrix display on this game is 100% working perfectly without any dimming, fading, burn, or missing rows, columns, or dots. These displays are getting to be worth quite a bit, so it's worth mentioning.
The legs are really nice on this pin also. If you win this, I will have it disassembled (head folded down and strapped, legs removed) and will help you load it no problem. I will include a new lock with it and remove my "route lock." Let me know if you have any questions about this game. It's a gem - you're getting a reliable, fun pinball from the #1 pinball maker during their absolute golden era, designed by Dennis Nordman (of Whitewater fame). It is also one of the few "WIDEBODY" games that Williams/Bally made during 1993-1994, so there is a lot more to do and more shots on the playfield than with most games. I can't say enough good things about this game. If I didn't have another one in the warehouse, I would never dream of selling Demo Man.
