This auction is for a beautifully pristine "Old Paris" / Early Haviland porcelain (c. 1870-1880's) Coffee Pot. Item is in the creamy opaque white porcelain, which was highly desirable in the late 19th Century. Item has a beautifully scrolled handle with graceful body forms. The finial of the coffee pot is of the bid-style, and has gilding accents along the ribbing. Nicely gilded on the handle, rim, lid, and spout, with some wearing on the gilding.
There are maker's marks scratched into the bottom of the coffee pot, which was common practice before maker's marks included the country of origin and manufacturer.
No visible damage anywhere on the unit, other then the previously stated wearing to the gilding. Coffee Pot has its original lid with the hole for steam.
Coffee pot is 8 1/2" T and 8 3/4" from Handle to Spout.
