City of Heyburn Property – Second Auction Opportunity Auction Date: September 2nd, 2026 Starting Bid: $500,000 Following Idaho law governing the sale of municipal real property, the City of Heyburn previously offered this property at public auction with a City-established minimum bid of approximately $1.7 million. No bids were received at that minimum. Under Idaho law, when no bids are received: “...the city council shall have the authority to sell such property as it deems in the best interest of the city.” Following the first auction, the City now has additional flexibility in considering the sale of the property and is providing interested buyers another opportunity to participate. The property will be offered through a second competitive auction, with bidding starting at $500,000. The $500,000 starting bid is not a statement of the property's value or a guaranteed sale price. Interested buyers do not have to wait until auction day. Pre-auction offers may be submitted for consideration by the City of Heyburn. Unless otherwise accepted or acted upon by the City, the property is scheduled to proceed to auction on September 2. The highest bid received at the September 2 auction will be presented as an offer to the City of Heyburn for consideration at its September 9 public meeting. The City Council will retain the authority to review the price, terms, and contingencies of any offer and determine whether acceptance is in the best interest of the City.
