Atlan Ceramic Club, Satsuma Covered Jar. 1920's hand painted American Satsuma covered jar decorated in a vibrant floral pattern using raised enamels. Hand signed in blue underglaze "F. A. Barothy" AKA Franceys Barothy, member of the Atlan Ceramic Arts Club. During World War I, American housewives who enjoyed hand-painting china could not get any from Germany, so they imported undecorated white Satsuma and made what is now called "American Satsuma? with stylized art deco decorations. 6"x3.5". 19th Century French Sevres Urns (2). Two gilded sevres urns with art by H. Soitevin circa 1900. On base: A.D. 830 France. Inside lids: intertwined blue L's with crowns, one with LB the other two dots. Also, imprint of 'C7'. Height: 13.5". Diameter: 3" at opening. Golden flame finials atop. Some tarnishing. Door stop in the likeness of Robert E Lee. Our research indicates this is cast iron. 7.5" tall. 2-3/8" x 2-1/8" base dimensions. 3.0 pounds (1.3 kg). Signs of wear. He couldn't stop the Union at Cheat Mountain or Malvern Hill, or Gettysburg or Rappahannock Station or Spotsylvania Court House... But perhaps he can stop your door from shutting.

Very heavy cast iron bank. Approximately 8 inches tall. The bank does have some scratches and will need a little bit of cleaning. The Sprite Boy was a mascot used by Coca Cola during the 1940's and 1950's eventually fading into obscurity during the 1960's and 1970's as Coca Cola repositioned its image and mascots.

J. Chein Wind Up Hercules Ferris Wheel. A wind up tin lithograph ferris wheel toy produced by the J. Chein company c. 1950. Height - 16". Wheel still rotates, but clip (or pin) on "hercules" nose is missing. There is some rusting and a thick layer of dust. Also included is one "Playful Cat" wind up toy circa 1950's. Missing key. Bayonet - made in Germany (Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co Solingen marked on one side of the ricasso). Research indicates that this may be late 19th century / early 20th century, but we are not sure. Other side of the ricasso marked "Modelo Argentino 1891" in an arc above "M7624". Aluminum handle. Blade approximately 14.5". Small "R" stamped on guard. Small "W" or "M" stamped into grip on both sides below the guard. "A" stamped onto spine just above the guard. "RA" in oval on one side of pommel. Scabbard has "M6044" stamped near top. Four knives / daggers / swords / blades from around the world. The largest we believe to be an ol alem (aka Maasai or Kikuyu seme) from the region of Kenya and Tanzania. Blade is 16" long and shows use. Handle appears to be wrapped in the same leather-like substance used to construct the covering for the light wood sheath. ***** Jambiya from the Middle East with curved blade and medial ridge. Blade is approximately 8.5" long, and shows notable oxidation. Metal covered wooden sheath appears to be original ***** Khukuri (Kukri) knife famously associated with the Gurkha people of India and Nepal with black leather sheath (sheath may be signed). Blade is approximately 9" long. Two accompanying smaller knives (chakmak and karda) each have blades approximately 2.5" long. ***** The smallest blade we believe to be from Southeast Asia. Blade is 7.5" long and appears to have a serpentine inlay near the tip. Sheath is wood with meta outer casing.

Sword we believe to come from southeast Asia. Blade length is over 20 inches, with base of blade serrated. Guard is loose. Handle appears to be a hand carved wooden horse's head. There is a crack down one side of the handle, and there appear to be 5-6 insect holes.

Fraternal sword from the Pettibone Brothers Mfg. Company. 32" blade. Some oxidation. Metal scabbard appears to be original and also shows wear and oxidation. Blade is engraved with previous owners name. Dagger (10.25" blade) appears to be of similar design ***** Indian made curve sword (blade is approximately 25" long). Felt covered wooden scabbard shows wear (tip of sword protrudes from end of broken scabbard). Tip of sword appears damaged.

Grand Army of the Republic Veteran medal or badge. The ribbon has tatters, and it appears at some point it was torn through and sewn back together. 3.25" long. ***** Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic (1886) medal or badge - ribbon is a 13 star flag, and the inscription "F.C.L." stands for "Fraternity, Charity, Loyalty". 2.5" long. The Ladies of the GAR is an organization still in existence. Chartered by Congress in 1881, this organization, restricted to women descended from soldiers, sailors, marines, and nurses who served in the Union Army during the Civil War. Then as now, they focus on charity towards veterans, military families, and preserving patriotism and unity through education and recording the stories of service men and woman.

Split finger baseball glove from Goldsmith marked Special Services US Army. We believe this dates to WW II. Looking at the glove we believe it to be all original but ask that you rely on your personal experience and knowledge. The glove has seen plenty of use and shows significant wear. The palm of the glove has "Elmer Riddle Trademark" inscribed.

Four older catchers or umpires masks. We could not find any markings to indicate who made the masks. The masks do exhibit normal wear and tear from use and may not be complete. The softball glove is a deep pocket from General marked model 3185. This glove has also been used but remains in nicer condition.

Buescher Aristocrat Custom Built Cornet w/ Case. Buescher brand trumpet circa 1930's with "Aristocrat Custom Built" and "Elkhart Ind. USA" engraved on the bell as well as a somewhat floral pattern. Trumpet has True-Tone mark and "275274" "265" on second valve. Mouthpiece is engraved with "Duo-Cup" and "99-C". Lyre in working order. Case has "Sanford-Goodall Industries Band" painted on one side and "Maine Music School - Hebron Maine" on the other. Case and straps in working order. Remnants of stickers on case, one appears to be from 1940. Dimensions: Cornet - 16"x6". Bell - 4.5". Case - 17"x3.5"x8". Wear and tear seem to coincide with age and traveling. Dings on case. USS Eversole (DD-789) was a Gearing-class Destroyer of the United States Navy, the second Navy ship named for Lieutenant (junior grade) John T. Eversole (1915–1942), a naval aviator who was killed in the Battle of Midway. She later served in the Turkish navy from 1973 to 1995 as TCG Gayret (D-352) and is now a ship museum. William Billingsley Porcelain Jar. Early English porcelain covered jar with hand painted floral decoration and lion finial. Jar and lid are marked with incised triangle mark attributed to William Billingsley. Underplate is marked with incised five point star or asterisk. Gold on lion finial shows some rubbing as well as on the rim of the jar. Light wear and tear appropriate with age. See photos for more details.

Porcelain and aluminum sculpture of animal horns. Base is an ivory white with silver colored tips. 14" tall (base and sculpture). Base has a 7" diameter. Sculpture weighs 4.8 lbs. Small scratches, no chips or cracks.

Vincent Bellisario wood carved spiral sculpture. The sculpture measures approximately 22" tall (including base). Base is approximately 3.25" tall and 4.75" wide. This is perhaps one of the nicest collections of Matchbox cars we seen. A total of 44 cars with nearly all but one or two being from the 1960's. The cars are all very clean and exhibit minimal wear. The original owner labeled each slot in the Matchbox case with the model number and model name of the car that belonged in that slot. The original owner also placed a small red label with his initials on the bottom of most cars.
