We follow the state of Illinois laws for collecting sales tax at auction. The taxable lots in this auction are lots:

15.55% Buyer’s Premium in effect, no up-charge for credit card use, Sales Taxes are collected per the State of Illinois rules. In general this means no sales tax on coins, currency, bullion or posted estate items. Upon bidding you are entering into a contract to buy the lot bid on. Not paying for shipping does not release you from the auction invoice, those are two separate transactions. Unless prior arrangements are made, items not picked up during the scheduled pickup times or not paid for shipping are considered a donation with net proceeds going to the Monroe County Humane Society and the Morrison Talbott Library. Items are sold in AS-IS condition and the bidder acknowledged they have had ample time to attend a live preview. The bidder acknowledges the lot description, photos and estimates are informational only and an opinion not an expression of fact. The bidder agrees that by bidding they are satisfied with the condition of the lot and will make no attempts at returns or canceling the transaction.
