We have a local pick up scheduled on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. CST at our facility in Urbana, IL. Pick up is also available on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Within an hour after the auction, you will receive an email from "Shipping Saint," which we require that you use to schedule a pick up appointment. We will also send a separate post-auction email with your invoice, and all of the information in regards to pick up will be included in these 2 important emails. 39 total 8" by 10" black & white photos of the funeral procession for Adlai Stevenson held on July 19, 1965 in Bloomington Illinois. These are original period photos taken by someone in the press corps and given to an employee of State Farm who is shown in a few of the photos in the polka dot dress on the phone (the press was on the 13th floor of the State Farm building in downtown Bloomington). Many photos are of the press room itself, but included are photos of the procession as well as President Lyndon Johnson, Lady Bird Johnson, Hubert Humphrey and his wife.

Alfred "Al" Jackson (b.1940 - d. 2001), was an African-American artist who studied at the American Academy in Chicago. He is well known for his fascination with Southwest pottery and water drops. Original oil painting was purchased in 1979 from The Potomac Gallery in Alexandria, VA. Canvas in frame measures 18.75" by 15". Frame measures 23.5" by 20".

David Adolph Constant Artz (Dutch, b. The Hague 1837 - d. The Hague 1890). On thick panel depicting a fisherman's wife mending a net on a dune (Artz was well known for his dune paintings). We believe this could be "after", but removed the panel from the frame for your inspection. Collector did have it re-framed in the recent past. It does have a "D.A.C. Artz" signature in red, bottom left. Panel measures 27cm by 20.7cm. The frame measures 10.25" by 12.75".

Listed Hawaiian artist Ben Kikuyama (b. 1962). 3D mixed media collage is assembled with parts from a re-purposed Monoply board. This "Moo-nopoly Cow" is hand signed and has a very low number of 2 out of 45 constructed. A dog version was made and is in the Stanford Children's Health collection. The image area measures approximately 26.5" by 18.5". The frame measures 33" by 25", 2.5" deep. Born 1962 in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. Currently lives and works in Kula, Hawaii. Ben represented Maui in the 2001 Biennial Exhibition of Hawaii Artists at the Contemporary Museum Honolulu and was also featured in a Hawaii Public Television show called "Spectrum".
