Blue crystal formation is a rare Chalcanthite. When naturally formed, the crystals are usually botryoidal, tabular, or prismatic in shape. Chalcanthite crystals have also been known to form in veins as masses of parallel fibrous crystals. What truly sets these minerals apart is their vibrant electric blue color. They exist in arid environments and often require specific dry conditions for longevity of shelf-life. This mineral forms in oxidation zones above copper sulfides. The surrounding environment must be very dry or the chalcanthite will absorb too much water and dissolve. What it boils down to is that chalcanthite is essentially a precipitate of copper sulfides, which is why it is often found in caves or mine shafts as a crust or stalactite. Cave calcite, which belongs to the Aragonite group, is a calcium carbonate used in cement.  This mineral forms underground through groundwater deposition, and its reddish hue is due to impurities. Inlaid Redwood Dining Table made by Joni Hamari. The table is made of old growth redwood, agatized red dinosaur bone, gibeon and muonionalusta meteor along with copper accent.   The table was a custom design piece with a three panel base with inlays accenting each piece. The base of the table fits together with metal hooks on the center beam that slot into groves that are each of the leg panels. Four dark gray-brown oriented meteorite stones. Most meteorites tumble when they come through their fireballs producing somewhat lumpy rocks. A tiny percentage maintains a constant orientation and melts with a nosecone shape in front sometimes with tiny flow lines, usually with a flat back, and often with a “roll over lip” on the trailing side produced by the ablating surface on the front. These highly desired specimens are called Oriented meteorites. Classification requires a 20% donation to a research facility for testing, thus can ruin the beautiful shapes. These four are all unclassified stone meteorites, likely chondrites. This a great collection of classic shield-shaped meteorites. Measures: The largest measures 1.875x.375x.75 in. Originally found in 1882, this famous American pallasite meteorite strewnfield is where Steve Arnold found his famous 1,430-pound oriented Pallasite specimen that propelled him to international fame leading to his hit television series Meteorite Men. Pallasites are stony-iron meteorites with roughly equal amounts of metal and olivine silicates. This polished and etched part slice is from a specimen Steve personally found. This lot is a part slice of the larger mass found during the filming of the Meteorite Men pilot on October 9, 2008, by Steve Arnold and Geoff Notkin. Measures in clear acrylic: 2x.875x3 in.

North West Africa 14964 Eucrite. This is a 160.7g end piece of the single 740g mass purchased by Steve Arnold in 2021 in Guelmim, Morocco. This is an achondrite Eucrite type meteorite. This piece has a dark brown and tan coloring with a flat bottom. Measures: 2.75x1.5x2 in. Weighs: 160.7 grams

This is the 509.2g Main Mass of the mesosiderite with a total known weight of 1,526g. Mesosiderites are stony irons with a roughly equal mix of an iron asteroid and a stone asteroid mixed by a collision in space. It is from North West Africa and is dark brown with natural crack-like portions or crevices. Measures: 3x2.75x3 in. Weighs: 509.2 grams

Astroid found in Saint Pierre le Viger France has a mainly light gray color with brown and black specks. Per the Meteoritical Bulletin: Asteroid 2023 CX1 was discovered on 12 February 2023, at 20:18:07 UTC by Hungarian astronomer Krisztián Sárneczky working at the Piszkésteto Station of Konkoly Observatory in the Mátra Mountains (Hungary). With the support of astronomers at Višnjan Observatory in Tican (Croatia), he predicted that the 1-meter rock would collide with Earth's atmosphere on 13 February 2023 at 2:59:21 UTC. Very soon after the event, the combination of telescope observations with those of amateur and professional cameras made it possible to determine that fragments of the asteroid that had survived the atmospheric passage had fallen in Normandy. A total known weight of 1200 was reportedly found. This 1.5g fragment comes from the Main Mass. Measures: .625x0.375x0.5 in. Weight: 1.5 grams

The Admire Kansas Pallasite was first discovered in 1881 and the strewnfield was greatly expanded by metal detecting by Steve Arnold from 2006 through 2011 and the site was featured in the pilot episode of Meteorite Men. The piece has yellow-colored olivine crystal inclusions in the ferro-nickel matrix. Measures: 9x.25x6 in. Weighs: 1.05 lbs or 476.27 grams

2.5 tons of Jikharra 001 was found in Libya in 2022. This achondrite Eucrite has a beautiful interior and is one of the most affordable (by weight) of this rare class of meteorite originating from the asteroid Vesta. This is a unique gray and tan colored full slice, with natural patterns and shapes seen in the slice. Measures: 4.25xabout .25x6.625 in. Weighs: .30 lbs or 136 grams.

A Genuine Meteorite from the Sahara Desert and dubbed as the “Ugliest Meteorite in Steve’s Collection” This 9.1-pound specimen, while not yet classified (but 100% guaranteed authentic by Steve) is a big and genuine meteorite from the Sahara Desert. It is likely an ordinary chondrite, and there is a chance with classification testing it could prove to be more rare. It has a red, brown, and tan coloring with lighter and darker portions throughout and natural cracking and texture. Measures: 9.25x6.5x4.5 in. Weighs: 9.10 lbs

This Meteorite Men coaster was made exclusively for Discovery Network’s private party at a 2009 Television Critics Association event in Hollywood and was acquired and autographed by Steve when he attended the event. Measures 3.75x3.75x.125 in.

Chelyabinsk Ornament 1/100. There is a small bit of Chelyabinsk inside of a clear glass ornament with the 2013 embossed into the glass. Comes with a box and a signed and numbered sheet by Steve Arnold. The ornament measures: 3.38x0.375x1 in.
