(Lots will close every 20 seconds. If a bid is placed during the last minute, that lot will be extended 2 minutes.) WHERE & WHEN DO I PICK-UP MY ITEMS: Removal Day is Monday, July 22, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 422 W Main St, Morris, IL 60450. Extended pick-up time allowed for out-of-state motorbike bidders, if needed. BUYER'S PREMIUM: 10% Buyer's Premium will be charged on invoices paid by cash, check or wire transfer. 13% Buyer's Premium will be charged on invoices paid by credit card. HOW DO I PAY: Invoices are emailed within an hour after the auction closes and you may PAY at pick-up by cash, check, or credit card. Wire Transfer may be required for large invoices. VIN: RS19089 Miles: 8511 Engine: 1-cyl Color: Black Wow! A vintage motorbike this clean does not come around very often. The Seller took great care of this Velocette for many years, but has fallen ill and passed. We don’t believe it has run for at least a year. We, the auctioneer, did not attempt to start or perform any work on the motorbike. It is exactly how we found it. There was a pan under the engine/transmission with oil and some on the floor too. This may be evidence from sitting idle for months, or longer. Smiths Tach and Odometer show 8,511 miles. Black paint with Gold accents. 499 cc single-cylinder four-stroke British motorcycle made by Birmingham England. Engine SN = VM 6280. Lucas Magneto. VIN on the Title = RS19089. Very few imperfections on the chrome. Clean Illinois title in hand. Some parts and manuals too. Additional time may be given to winning bidder to arrange removal from property. Why did we post over 50 photos? Because we're in love with it just as much as you are! Please call our office to arrange a preview day/time prior to auction closing. Located in Morris, IL. Opening in 1905, Velocette focused intently on motorcycles and soon created many innovations that would also make them competitive racers. Post-WWII, the company produced their best-selling model, the “LE,” also used by police. In 1964 the company released the “Venom,” a crowning achievement of performance. Sadly, like other motorcycle manufacturers of the 60s, they faced stiff competition from Japanese producers and would eventually fold in 1971.
