As a token of love and esteem, by his Sydney Friends, 26th February 1932, Angus & Coote Ltd Stg. Sil.) . Sterling silver is abbreviated as " STG. SIL ". Size 24 1/2" L. Angus & Coote is currently Australia's leading jewelry, watch, and giftware specialty retailer. The company was formed in Sydney in 1895. The composition of this silver is typically 92.5% pure silver with elements of copper for luster. The plaque is in the shape of Australia and has a vine with leaves above. There are two additional sets of silver attachments including bands to either side which support the boomerang being displayed and two end caps on either end.

ex-collection of Stanley L. Kaufman, a Harvard educated lawyer who specialized in bringing suits on behalf of corporations' disgruntled stockholders, died in 1993 at the age of 81. He was a staff attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission before World War II, then served in the Army in Europe and rose to captain. In 1946 he became a founding partner in his law firm, Kaufman Malchman, Kaufmann & Kirby, which had branches in NYC and Los Angeles.

Expertly carved throughout the grip and pommel in iron with pommel open through and carved to either side, the grip is carved in iron at the split down it's half and intricately notched, the crossguard is carved with scenes of scrolling and a mounted armour to one side with a group of weapons carved to the other, the quillon are straight with a twisted band before the tips carved in an hexagonal shape, blade is curved and etched to one side with the word "VINCENZO", single edged blade with shallow wide fuller. 37 1/2"L, blade 32 1/4" L. Sheath missing tip as seen in images.

United States Navy Model 1852 Officer's sword, circa Vietnam War, with gilt brass hilt and scabbard fittings. The sword features a very clean high condition straight double-edged etched blade. Wire wrapped faux-ray skin grip. The gilt brass guard has openwork USN and a dolphin as the quillon. Pommel cap with U.S. Eagle and stars. The upper and middle suspension bands are decorated with roped knot motif. A dolphin decorates the edges of the drag. Overall: 34 1/4" L, blade: 27 1/2" L . A high quality German-made sword marked "STAINLESS" and with etched Star of Damascus proof mark, and with Purveyor's Name: Wolf-Brown over logo, over GERMANY.

Large British RNR (Royal Navy Reserve) midshipman’s dagger with scabbard and hefty blade, measures 1” W at the ricasso. Obverse is acid etched marked with the “Star of Damascus” quality mark and is stamped Proved. Acid etched marked on reverse of the ricasso Batson /London. Exquisitely etched scrolled leaf motif, lion and unicorn flanked coat of arms, and crown over anchor with overlaid letters RNR. Sewn seam leather scabbard with correct brass mounts, but with the release latch removed. Oversized grip has intact twisted retaining wire around the ray skin covered wood grip. The gilt lion head pommel, crossguard and ferrule retain much of the original gilding. The scabbard is also of larger proportion than most examples. Size 23" L, blade 17 1/2" L

Horses and their equipment played a pivotal role in the colonial society of New Spain, especially among the Spanish aristocracy and military. Equestrian skills were highly prized, and riding was an essential part of everyday life, transportation, and military activities. Spur usage was integral to controlling and directing horses effectively and the development of an effective and easy to use larger spur was used throughout New Spain and Colonial Expansion. Persia, 19th century or earlier armoured defense similar in shape, form, and function to a Bazu band or vambrace for the arm defense. However it's unusually almost twice the size of typical Bazu band. When placed on the leg it's almost the exact proportions of a greave which fits over the knee. Pierced to the base with a series of chainmail links and also pierced in several other section. The face embossed with a grotesque face, gold and silver decoration all over including a calligraphic text to the bottom and around the outer perimeter. Size 21" L x 6 3/8" H

The Peurise Teumaga was used by the Acehnese warriors battling Dutch colonialist in the 19th century. The shield is round with a border of cascading demi circles. The face has seven raised central lopes that mimic the sun and is profusely decorated in raised patterns.

The Aceh War 1873-1904 was an armed conflict between Dutch colonist and the Sultanate of Aceh. The war was a component of a series of conflicts that consolidated control over the Modern day Indonesia. Size 9 7/8" H x 1 3/4" W

The Pre-Classic period saw many well known cultures arise in and around Mexico with so called Chupicuaro figures as a central component. The primary site of these early figures is now underwater after an artificial lake was created by the Solid Dam. Used widely throughout pre-Columbian cultures Tumbaga is a wide varying mix of gold, copper, and other elements.

Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Mayan 250-950 CE. Fine stone carved Mayan Guarda Tumba boundary marker used for court ceremony or prison boundary markings. The stone carved figure features two hands brought together in front with a pronounced hunch back bent down, carved with coffee bean eyes, wide mouth and a rounded skull possibly wearing a head arrangement. Size 13 3/4" H

Size of sight 13 1/2" H x 10 1/2" W, in frame 22 1/2" H x 19 1/2" W

Wonderfully detailed Chinese bronze wine vessel in the shape of an owl. Wings are bordered with serpents, with key fret designs to the birds neck. Calligraphy or signature to the back of the birds head, with a short flared tail. Size 14 1/2" H x 10" W

Chinese bronze censer with legs imitating bamboo, flower border, and twisted rope rim. Qilin perched on stop of the square lid acts as his base, with one foot raised and mouth agape. Wide body cavity and sturdy legs with lovely floral embellishments to each face. Size 18" H x 9 1/1" W

Copper Chinese censer with Pixui style finial and dragon handles. Three pedestal foot with beast faces to shoulders, and animal like feet. Incense burners were typically stylized to represent the form of the Bo Mountain, a mythical land of immortality. Size 7 1/2" W x 7 1/2" H

Beautifully painted in a dancing motion, each Zhong Kui figure is armed and ready for battle. Zhong Kui is known as a vanquisher of ghosts and evil beings, typically depicted as a large man in red/rose colored robes, bulging eyes and black beard. Size in frame 49 3/4" H x 37" W, image 46 3/4" H x 34 1/4" W

As-is overall good condition with some wear and minor scratches to frames. Each painting has a seal mark to base, one on the bottom left, the other bottom right.

Chinese Swatow bowl from the Late Ming dynasty (Of the Guangxu Period 1875-1908) with beautiful orange and green decoration over a white porcelain. The bowl depicts several goldfish to the interior with various scenes of 'bowl with gold fish and florals and fungi'. The base of the bowl features a four character seal mark, Stamped: TongZhi Nian Zhi - "TongZhi (1862-74) Period Make". Probably Guangxu period 1875-1908. of the Guangxu period with an applied wax seal mark from the Hong Kong Antique Export Association. Size 4 3/4" H

Oceania, Papua New Guinea, Middle Sepik Latmul Peoples 19th-early 20th C. Miniature Maskette carved in wood or from a seed pod. The mask features a cone head with coffee bean eyes, small circular ears, and a side mouth. The back of the mask is affixed with two labels listing it as "Middle Sepik" and "Ex-Barlin" collection.

Latmul peoples comprise of about two dozen autonomous villages along the Sepik River in PNG, they're best known for their art and early creationist theories involving crocodile and an ocean covered earth. 2 3/4" H

Twisted rattan connects the bung to the quiver, and a braided handle makes it easy to carry. Size 28 1/2" L

Filipino backpacks, also known as (bayong) or (banig) bags, are traditional woven bags that are an integral part of Filipino culture. These bags are made from natural fibers, such as abaca - a type of banana plant, rattan, or pandan leaves, and they are known for their durability, versatility, and eco-friendliness. Bayong bags are often handwoven by skilled artisans and have a rich cultural history in the Philippines. Size of largest 12 1/2" H x 12 3/4" W

One spoon has a seated Bunney style Bulul rice deity, he appears to be smiling with incised lips and hollowed eyes, wearing a helmet or hat. The deity figure is also seated in similar fashion to the Bulul and wears an elaborate elongated headdress, with almond shaped eyes and incised lips. Both spoons have large concave bowls for serving and eating. Size of largest approximately 9" L

Finely hand carved in great detail, this Philippines dragon mask is a wonderful depiction of the mythical sea creature. This mask includes details incised and pierced work, as well as high relief carving including the sharp pointed teeth and horns. It is usually depicted with a characteristic looped tail and a single horn on the nose. It was generally believed to be a sea serpent, but are also variously believed to inhabit either the sky or the underworld. Size 21 3/8" L

Standing Bulul rice deity carved from a single section of wood with a patina of dark pigment, carved with hands hanging at the knees which are slightly bent in characteristic Bulul posture.

An exert from the Metropolitan Museum of Art Accession Item Number:2013.1105 reads 'Bulul are traditionally carved from the wood the narra tree associated in Ifugao cosmology with health, happiness and prosperity. Once the carving is complete, it is consecrated through a ritual that involves the recitation of the myth of Humidhid, the deity who made the first Bulul. Size 19" H

Noted from the previous owner, a short history about Nok. "The katsina style emerged along with the Nok culture. Discovered through archeological expeditions in the 1940's, almost nothing is known about the society or it's customs other than the spectacular terra cotta sculptures they left behind. If not for these artifacts, their culture might have been completely forgotten.

This example with a flat rectangular base, series of three rows of geometric pierced openings, and four circular columns or struts with scalloped decorated edged. The center of the throne is a round bulbous collum that also supports the upturned U shaped sitting platform. 22 1/2" W x 17" H x 12 1/2" L

Painted porcelains depicting winter scenes in the country. Vase shows a cabin in the woods along a river with last of the summers leaves on trees with a blanket of snow on the ground. Plate shows a row of farm houses in the background of a snow covered field, across the lake now frozen over. The large vase marked number 2431 to the base and H & CO Bavaria. Ex-Beverly Hills CA collection

Collection of six antique plaster wax seals including the names and dates of each to some on the reverse. Two larger examples on with an intricate scene of mighty figures on thrones or standing with remnants of wax. Some of the names read Herzog Rudolf IV, Kaiseria Maria of Prussia, Erzherzog Ferdinand 1589, Franz I, and others illegible. During the 19th century seals were popular as collectables and often framed or mounted for display. Size: 5"

Early French oil lamp with a reservoir on a high base made in the 19th century. Made of brass and has a rolling fuse. The roll shows the brand Gardon and Bte SGDG, which means brevete sans Garantie du Gouvernement or 'patent without government guarantee'. Size 9" H

Rolling fuse is fused in place, minor surface wear and patina throughout.

Antique mahogany Chippendale arm chair with replaced cushion upholstery. Heavily interlaced and pierced back with carved wood corners and joints, curved and claw footed legs to front. 40" H x 23 3/4" W

Sterling silver sherbets, hand-hammered finished sherbets with glass and gadrooned rims. 24 silver cups including 12 with gilt rim glass inset, 3 with clear glass inset and 9 with no glass inset, largest 3.5" H

20th century Guatemala, wood carved carnival masks. Carved and painted in a stylized fashion with striking faces. Each carved from dark wood, painted black details remain. Drilled for suspension. Size of largest 9 1/2" H

Very high quality pair of completely original Federal Brass Andirons. The cabriole legs have claw feet clenching a ball with multiple spurs to either side, the plinths are filled with ball and cylindric shaped designs and the final is a dreidel like circular design with a steeple top and point in similar fashion.
