Auction Terms & Conditions REGISTRATION & BID NUMBER ACCEPTANCE: By registering and accepting a bid number online, you are entering into a binding legal agreement with GCAS / Gary Clowser Auction Services. GCAS is providing internet online bidding as a service to bidder. Bidder acknowledges and understands that the internet and/or phone service may or may not function correctly the day of the auction. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against GCAS or anyone else if their internet service fails to work correctly before or during the auction. Bidder acknowledges they have read, understand, and agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of auction, posted online in this document, and know that you are responsible and liable for all bids you place!
It is the bidder's responsibility to preview and inspect the items prior to bidding/buying and determine the condition of the item they are bidding on. All articles of merchandise are offered "As Is, Where Is" by lot, individually, or in groups as described in the online catalog. Multiple photos have been posted of most lots, in order to show the most accurate condition. No claim will be considered for allowance adjustment or rescission of any sale based upon the failure of the property to correspond to any particular standards or expectations of the buyer. All sales are final. GCAS reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in this auction.
WHEN REGISTERING FOR A BIDDER NUMBER YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER WILL BE RETAINED AND CHARGED FOR YOUR PURCHASE SHORTLY AFTER THE CLOSING TIME OF THE AUCTION. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL INVOICE IF YOU ARE THE WINNING BIDDER. EMAIL INVOICES WILL BE SENT OUT 24 HOURS OR LESS AFTER THE AUCTION CLOSES AND WILL SHOW THE AMOUNT CHARGED TO YOUR CARD. NO IN-PERSON PAYMENTS ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME DUE TO COVID19. PURCHASES CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM THE AUCTION SITE UNTIL PAID FOR IN FULL.
Register in advance to make sure you are able to complete the process in time to bid on the items you want to buy. Make sure you have adequate internet or phone service. This will make a difference in your ability to bid successfully during the closing of the auction. If you have slow internet or phone service, please utilize the max bid feature. The computer program will bid for you up to your max bid. It will not jump you to your max bid. The program will bid in the preset increments for you against other internet bidders in the following increments.
MINIMUM BID INCREMENTS:
$1.00 to 19.99 Increment is $1.00
$20.00 to $99.99 Increment is $2.50
$100.00 to $999.99 Increment is $5.00
$1000.00 and Above Increment is $10.00
This auction utilizes STAGGERED and SOFT CLOSE features. With “Staggered Close” lots do not close all at the same time; one lot will close every 6 seconds in a mixed sequence. You can follow the clock to the right of each lot to know the exact scheduled closing time of any particular lot. “Soft Close” is when a bid is submitted and confirmed during the last 60 seconds before a lot is scheduled to close, if this happens the time will be extended on that lot by 60 seconds. This will continue until a full 60 seconds passes without a new bid on that lot.
BUYER'S PREMIUM: The Buyer's Premium Of 10% Will Be Added To Each Lot Purchased, Every bidder pays the same buyer's premium and should bid accordingly. For example, if you bid $100 on an item a $10 Buyer Premium would be added to your auction invoice for a total sum of $110. GCAS DOES NOT add any additional convenience fees for Credit or Debit cards. WE ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
REMOVAL OF ITEMS: The buyer is solely responsible for the removal and shipping of their own purchases. All lots must be removed within the times noted online. Any lots not picked up or have not had other arrangements made by 5 days after the auction, forfeit ownership of the items to GCAS and will be re-sold with proceeds going to Gary Clowser Auction Services.
SHIPPING: Is available at Buyer’s expense, for smaller items marked “shipping available”. If you would like item/items shipped there will be a $20.00 handling fee added (per invoice, not item) to your separate shipping & handling invoice in addition to the shipping charges. GCAS is not liable for damage to your item/items in shipping. We ship to U.S. addresses only via USPS Priority. We use FedEx or UPS if the Post Office cannot handle the package. Fragile items will be taken to the UPS store to be packaged and shipped from there at the buyer’s expense. We will ship items in boxes we have available, but some items may require special packaging or boxes. These items will be purchased at the UPS store and charged on your shipping & handling invoice. Hazardous items, such as ammo, chemicals, or similar items cannot be shipped. For larger items, GCAS will assist with loading out such items on the buyer’s behalf for the $20.00 handling fee, subject to the buyer making all the arrangements, provides all the proper shipping paperwork, and makes payment arrangements with the freight company. The buyer also hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GCAS and the seller, against any and all liability, loss, costs, damages, and other expenses arising from loading out of items by GCAS on the buyer's behalf. If palletizing or rigging is necessary, the buyer will be responsible for arranging and paying for any such service.
Covid19 protocol will be followed during Preview and Pick-ups.
