Items available for online absentee bidding are those that are listed on www.iowa.hibid.com., for the Robert L. Preuss Estate Auction. Online absentee bidding will be available from July 27 through August 17, 2018 at 10:00 PM. The live auction is scheduled for Saturday, August 18th. The absentee bids will be used at the live auction to bid competitively on your behalf on the designated item. In case of a tie bid the onsite bid will trump the absentee bid. Online absentee bid fees will be charged in addition to the winning bid price. For the convenience of using the online absentee bidding there will be a fee of 5% of the winning bid with a cap of $250.00 per lot. There will be no bid fee (buyer's premium) for those attending and bidding at the live auction. The winning absentee bidders will be notified within 24 hours of the conclusion of the live auction via email. Shipping and handling will be the responsibility of the buyer. Items need be picked up at the sale site on the Monday, August 20, 2018 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm unless other arrangements are made prior to this date with Northeast Iowa Auction Co. Payment will need to be made prior or at time of picking up the items. All bids shall be treated as offers made on condition of sale and purchases must be paid at time of pickup or before. Northeast Iowa Auction Co. will accept cash, cashier's check, personal checks, and business checks as a form of payment. No items will be released until paid in full. Northeast Iowa Auction Co. invites bidders to inspect items before leaving an absentee bid and makes no guarantee of the condition of the item as everything sell as-is where-is. Northeast Iowa Auction Co. offers online absentee biding as a convenience to buyers and will not be held responsible for errors or failure to execute bids. All sales are final. Northeast Iowa Auction Co. will take precautions to protect your purchase but is not responsible for theft or vandalism. Buyers are responsible for their purchases.
