March of Dimes Canada aims to create a society inclusive of people with physical disabilities. March of Dimes Canada (MODC) is committed to providing a continuum of services for children and adults with disabilities across the country. MODC provides a number of essential programs to their consumers in order to enhance their capacity to participate in community activities. Each year over 60,000 persons with disabilities are supported through various programs and services - these include: Stroke Recovery Canada -- peer support services and programming to support stroke survivors, their caregivers and families Post-Polio Canada -- peer support services, information and resources for individuals with Post-Polio Syndrome, their families and caregivers Other programs include: Recreation and Accessible Travel, Home and Vehicle Modification, Employment Services, Assistive Devices, Attendant Care/Independent Living Services, MODMobility Services, Conductive Education, Designability, Attendant Care and Acquired Brain Injury Services, Aphasia and Communications Disabilities Program, Advocacy, BeFriending, learning Independence for Future Empowerment and Canadian Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation Services. All items must be picked-up from the designated location(s) within the timeframe specified. Any items remaining after April 6 may be subject to a nominal storage charge. If you can not pick up items during this timeframe, please contact Bids For Benefit (after auction has ended) and ask for direct shipping; the contact number is 416-508-9804. There will be an additional shipping charge added to your winning bid. * Registrants wishing to have items shipped directly to them may specify this upon registration, or immediately following the auction closing. A shipping charge will be applied to the purchase once a shipping amount has been determined for your region. * We reserve the right to cancel and/or reopen the auction in the case of system failures.
