Fort Smith Horse & Mule Sale welcomes everyone whether it be in person or online to our monthly tack, trailer and horse auction. Owned by Clint & Mary Smith. We start the horse auction at 4:30 p.m. CST, following our tack and trailer auction, with our cataloged consigned horses, followed by open consignments and loose horses.
We encourage every buyer, if able, to look at all horses thoroughly and ask any questions or voice any concerns prior to bidding, again, whether you're attending the auction in person or typing out in the comments/questions box on our online bidding platform.
Alley trading of any kind is not permitted and will not be tolerated!!! All sales MUST go through the sale office!!!
*We as the sale company act as agents only. ALL horses $3001 and higher are SOLD AS IS unless said "sound" by the auctioneer, pedigree reader, the said seller of the animal in the ring or it is stated "sound" in the catalog.
*All horses sold for $3000 and under are sold AS IS with NO GUARANTEES PERIOD!!!!!
*All announcements made by pedigree reader or auctioneer takes precedence over any description printed anywhere!
SOUNDNESS GUARANTEES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
*Horses move freely of any limp while at a walk, trot or lope while viewed by external examination. This does not include a lameness exam with a flexion text or any radiographs.
*Free of cribbing, blindness, weaving or being a proud cut gelding.
Any lameness issues must be reported no later than 12:00 p.m. on the Tuesday following the auction. Call and send videos to 918-839-6070.
RIDEABILITY IS NOT A SOUNDNESS ISSUE AND PLEASE KEEP IN MIND WE AS THE SALE COMPANY ACT AS AGENTS ONLY REGARDLESS.
Any vet charges and/or returned hauling expenses will be the buyer's responsibility on a return horse, pony or mule. Any lameness/age disputes will be settled by Fort Smith Horse & Mule Sale's veterinarian.
PAYMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
We accept good checks, cash and credit cards. There is an additional 4% fee for credit card processing if one chooses to use a credit card to remit payment. The buyer is responsible to make sure all paperwork is in order before leaving the pay window/office.
CHECK OUT PROCEDURE IS AS FOLLOWS:
You must have all the proper paperwork for your horse to be released. All horses MUST be picked up no later than Sunday following the auction by 1:00 p.m. CST. Horses not picked up will be transported to Mena, Arkansas at a fee of $75.00 per horse plus boarding of $20.00 per horse per day.
