| Lead | Large Canadian Goose Wood Decoy with "RJK" Marking |
| Description |
Large Canadian Goose decoy, measuring approximately 22 inches in length. The decoy is carved from wood and features detailed painted plumage with black, brown, and cream tones to accurately represent a goose in a resting pose. The underside of the decoy bears an engraved "RJK" marking, as well as what appears to be a secondary, lightly visible stamp. Crafted with a combination of smooth and textured carving techniques to enhance the realism of the feather patterns and overall appearance.
CONDITION: The decoy shows moderate handling wear with some surface scuffs and paint loss, particularly along the edges and high-contact points such as the bill and body. There is a visible crack in the neck that extends vertically, suggesting a repair or natural splitting due to age. The underside shows wear consistent with use. Overall, the structure remains stable, and the paint, while worn, retains a good level of detail and visibility.
