TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Robin’s Handknits & Vintage Finds, LLC? Effective Date: 01/01/2026
By registering to bid, placing a bid, or participating in any auction conducted by Robin’s Handknits & Vintage Finds, LLC (“Auctioneer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through the HiBid platform, you (“Bidder” or “Buyer”) agree to be legally bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
1. REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY
* Bidders must be 18 years of age or older.
* Bidders must be legally capable of entering into binding contracts under Michigan law.
* You are responsible for all bids placed under your HiBid account.
* Any false or misleading registration information may result in suspension or permanent banning.
2. AUCTION FORMAT
* All auctions are conducted online through HiBid.
* Auction start and end times are posted for each auction.
* Auctions may feature staggered close and/or soft close formats.
* The highest bidder at the final close is the winning bidder.
3. ONLINE BIDDING DISCLOSURE (HIBID COMPLIANCE)
* All bidding is conducted through the HiBid online auction platform.
* Robin’s Handknits & Vintage Finds, LLC is not responsible for:
* HiBid platform outages
* Internet or connectivity failures
* Software errors, delays, or malfunctions
* Technical issues do not constitute grounds for bid retraction, price adjustment, or sale cancellation.
* HiBid acts solely as a venue for online bidding and assumes no responsibility for the actions or representations of the Auctioneer or bidders.
* In the event of any dispute, the Auctioneer’s decision shall be final.
4. MAXIMUM BIDS & SOFT CLOSE ACKNOWLEDGMENT
* HiBid utilizes a maximum (proxy) bidding system.
* By entering a maximum bid, bidders authorize HiBid to automatically increase bids up to the entered amount.
* Auctions may use a soft close, extending the closing time if bids are placed near the end.
* It is the bidder’s responsibility to monitor bidding activity until the auction has fully closed.
5. NO CONTINGENCIES
* All bids are placed without contingencies, including inspection, financing, or resale.
* Winning bidders are obligated to complete the purchase regardless of item condition or later discoveries.
6. BUYER’S PREMIUM
* A 15% buyer’s premium will be added to the final hammer price of each item unless otherwise stated.
* Buyer’s premium is subject to Michigan sales tax.
7. PAYMENT TERMS & LATE FEES
* Full payment is due within seven (7) days of auction close.
* As we are currently waiting for our payment processor to finalize, we will be doing this auction manually. We accept PayPal, Venmo, or cash, with a 3% discount for cash.
* Late Fees: Payments not received within seven (7) days will be subject to a late fee of $25 or 5% of the outstanding balance, whichever is greater.
* Items will not be released until full payment, including any late fees, is received.
* Failure to pay may result in:
* Cancellation of the sale
* Forfeiture of items
* Suspension or banning from future auctions
* Reporting to HiBid as a non-paying bidder
* Legal collection efforts if necessary
8. SALES TAX (MICHIGAN)
* A 6% Michigan sales tax will be charged on all taxable items unless a valid Michigan sales tax exemption certificate is provided prior to bidding.
* No exemptions will be applied after auction close.
9. ITEM DESCRIPTIONS & CONDITION
* All items are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS”, with no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied.
* Descriptions, photos, and measurements are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed.
* Bidders are encouraged to inspect items prior to bidding.
* No refunds, returns, or chargebacks are permitted.
10. PICKUP, SHIPPING, STORAGE FEES & ABANDONMENT
* Pickup dates, times, and locations will be stated in each auction.
* Buyers are responsible for the removal of all purchased items within seven (7) days of the scheduled pickup date unless otherwise stated.
* Buyers must bring their own tools, equipment, packing materials, and labor for removal.
* Shipping is available as stated in each auction.
STORAGE FEES
* Items not picked up within seven (7) days will be subject to storage fees of $10 per invoice, per day, beginning on day eight (8).
* Storage fees must be paid in full prior to item release.
* Storage fees do not relieve the Buyer of the obligation to remove items promptly.
ABANDONMENT
* Items remaining unpaid, unpicked up, or accruing excessive storage fees may be considered abandoned property.
* Abandoned items may be resold, donated, or disposed of without refund or credit, in accordance with Michigan law.
* Auctioneer is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to items left beyond the pickup deadline.
11. BID RETRACTION & DEFAULT
* Bids may not be retracted except for obvious clerical errors and only at Auctioneer’s discretion.
* Non-paying bidders are considered in default and may lose bidding privileges permanently.
12. CHARGEBACK & PAYMENT DISPUTES
* Buyers agree not to initiate chargebacks for any reason.
* Any chargeback initiated will be considered a breach of these Terms.
* Buyer agrees to be responsible for:
* Original invoice amount
* Chargeback fees
* Collection costs
* Reasonable attorney fees
* Chargebacks will result in permanent banning from future auctions.
13. AUCTIONEER RIGHTS & DISCRETION
Robin’s Handknits & Vintage Finds, LLC reserves the right to:
* Refuse service to any bidder
* Cancel or reschedule auctions
* Withdraw items prior to closing
* Correct listing errors
* Resolve disputes at its sole discretion
All Auctioneer decisions are final.
14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
* Auctioneer shall not be liable for missed bids, platform failures, or technical malfunctions.
* Any liability shall be limited to the purchase price of the item in question.
15. INDEMNIFICATION
Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Robin’s Handknits & Vintage Finds, LLC, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from participation in the auction or use of purchased items.
16. GOVERNING LAW & VENUE
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.?Venue for any legal action shall be Wayne County, Michigan.
17. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By registering, bidding, or purchasing items, Buyer acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
