Description
Mayor Mike Savage has challenged local business districts with a friendly holiday shopping competition in aid of an important cause. Each of the participating districts has filled a stocking with products from shops in their area. The stockings are ready to be auctioned off in support of Shelter Nova Scotia. ReFound is pleased to offer auction assistance for this very important, and fun, challenge! Please register to create your account. The auction will run from Dec 11th to 18th with a soft close starting at 7pm. Be sure to check back as the auction begins to close to make sure you don't miss out on your #stuffit2020 Stocking! Bidding starts at $100 and you may bid in increments of $25. Mayor Mike said, "The Local Stuff Challenge is an opportunity for all of us to think about our spending decisions this holiday season and throughout the year. Local businesses put money back into our community, they provide employment and support neighbourhood causes and events. This year they need us more than ever." Shelter Nova Scotia helps homeless and precariously housed people throughout HRM. "The support of our community is critical in what we do at Shelter Nova Scotia. We provide support to over 1,300 people a year and operate six facilities 24/7. By supporting us, you are supporting the province's most vulnerable populations," said Jayme Lynn Butt, Public Relations and Fundraising Manager for Shelter Nova Scotia.
