TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Auction Specific Notes
Any notes, conditions, or disclosures stated within individual lots or auction listings apply specifically to that auction and form part of these Terms. By bidding, you agree to all auction specific notes and conditions.
Registration and Identification
All bidders must register and provide complete and accurate personal information. A valid credit card is required to verify identity and bidder eligibility. You must be of legal age to bid.
If you are unable to register online or do not have a credit card, bidding privileges may be requested by providing a $500 deposit via e transfer, subject to approval.
By registering, you consent to receive all auction related communications, including invoices, payment notices, pickup instructions, reminders, and notifications of future auction rounds. These communications are essential to auction participation and cannot be opted out of.
Payment
Registering to bid is free. AuctionFlex may place a temporary authorization hold of up to $1 on your credit card to validate registration.
Payment Structure
Invoices under $500 will be automatically charged to the credit card on file.
Invoices over $500 must be paid by e transfer using the instructions provided on your invoice.
If an invoice over $500 is not paid in full by e transfer by the scheduled pickup date, your credit card on file will be automatically charged for the full outstanding balance without further notice.
By registering, you expressly authorize AuctionFlex, LiquidationEvent.com, and Open Door Sales Inc. to charge your credit card on file for unpaid invoices, failed or missing e transfer payments, restocking fees, administrative fees, damages, or any costs arising from non compliance with these Terms.
Failure to Pay or Pick Up
Failure to pick up items within the scheduled pickup period will result in a restocking fee equal to 25 percent of the invoice total or $20, whichever is greater, charged to the card on file.
Unclaimed items will not be stored. Your bidding account will be suspended, and a $50 administrative fee will apply to reinstate the account.
Reinstatement after suspension requires full payment of all outstanding balances plus an additional $100 administrative fee.
Buyer’s Premium and Taxes
A buyer’s premium of 15 percent applies to all purchases.
HST at 13 percent applies to all items.
Tax exemptions must be claimed directly through your tax filings. No tax exemptions are applied at checkout.
Bidding and Bid Status
All bids are final and legally binding.
Bids cannot be retracted.
All items are sold as is, where is, with all faults.
Previews are strongly recommended when available.
In person previews may be available by appointment only.
Outbid notifications are not guaranteed, especially during the final two hours of an auction.
Item Removal
Buyers are fully responsible for the safe disconnection, removal, loading, and transportation of all items.
No tools, labor, or assistance will be provided.
Items not removed by the stated pickup deadline will be deemed abandoned.
Winning Notification and Invoicing
Invoices are emailed the day after the auction closes. Buyers are responsible for checking spam or junk folders.
Failure to receive an invoice does not relieve the buyer of responsibility for payment or pickup.
Winning status may be confirmed by logging into your bidding account. Status marked as “Won” indicates a successful bid. “Outbid” indicates a loss.
Pickup and Removal
Pickup dates, times, and locations will be clearly posted.
No shipping is offered.
Uncollected items are considered abandoned and subject to restocking and administrative fees.
Item Condition
All items are sold as is, where is, with no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied.
Previews are strongly encouraged.
DO NOT BID IF YOU CANNOT PICK UP.
ABANDONED ITEMS REMAIN PAYABLE IN FULL.
Credit and Collections
Failure to pay or pick up may result in account suspension, forfeiture of items, additional fees, and collection or legal action.
All bids constitute a legally binding contract.
Missing Items
If an item is confirmed missing, a refund will be issued for that item only.
No other items on the invoice may be cancelled or refunded.
Auction Records and System Outages
In the event of a dispute, AuctionFlex system records are final.
Auctions may be extended, paused, or rescheduled due to technical outages or system interruptions.
Liability
Open Door Sales Inc., LiquidationEvent.com, AuctionFlex, and their agents are not responsible for personal injury, property damage, or loss occurring before, during, or after the auction or pickup.
Additions and Deletions
We reserve the right to withdraw, modify, substitute, or re catalog items or auctions at any time.
Buyer Indemnification
Buyers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Open Door Sales Inc., LiquidationEvent.com, the seller, consignors, and their agents from all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from participation in any auction or removal of items.
Reserves and Bidding Strategy
Some lots may be subject to reserve. Reserve prices will be clearly indicated where applicable.
Placing maximum bids early is recommended.
Soft Close
Lots close at staggered intervals.
Any bid placed within the final minute will extend that lot’s closing time by four minutes. This process will repeat until no further bids are placed.
Catalog Errors and Omissions
Written descriptions prevail over photos.
All items are sold as is, where is.
If an item is listed in error or unavailable at pickup, the buyer’s sole remedy is a refund of the purchase price for that item only.
Buyers must inspect items before leaving the pickup location. No adjustments will be made after departure.
Limitation of Liability
Open Door Sales Inc. and its consignors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from auction participation, website use, bidding, payment processing, or item removal.
Errors and Omissions Disclaimer
While we strive for accuracy, HiBid, LiquidationEvent.com, and Open Door Sales Inc. make no guarantees as to descriptions, images, or conditions.
No returns or refunds except where required by law or explicitly stated.
By participating in this auction, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms and Conditions above.
