The late Robert Ennalls Powell Cannon was a 1939 graduate of the University of Maryland and went on to graduate from the University of Maryland Law School where he received his law degree in 1947 and served as president of his legal fraternity. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in Europe from 1941 - 1946. He trained with "The Fighting 29th" Infantry Division, before being transferred to the Department of Defense's Stars and Stripes daily newspaper and Yankee Magazine, published for the American troops stationed abroad. He was an elected Delegate to the Maryland House of Delegates for 12 years, from 1951 - 1962, where he proudly supported teachers' issues and civil rights laws. He was an attorney and landlord for most of his life, a staunch supporter of the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department and was proud to be selected as Honorary Fire Commissioner for the Salisbury Fire Dept. Payment Terms
Payment due in full no later than the Pickup day on Saturday April 29th, 2017. Payment preferred via Visa/MC/Disc/Amex, Cash (Exact change requested) or Local Approved check. Must have valid credit card to register. 15% buyer premium charged on all items. Items purchased will be applied to credit card that you placed on file when you registered at 2 PM on Friday April. 28th, 2017 unless you notify the Auction Co. of your wish to make payment via another means. If you wish to make an alternate payment by Cash, Check or Different Credit Card than what is on file please reply to this Email of call Jeff Smith at 410-835-0384 on Thursday April 27th 2017 from 9 AM - 5 PM or Friday April 28th Prior to 2 PM. Local Pickup is required. Items must be picked up at the Auction Site on Saturday April 29th, 2017 from 9 AM - 12 Noon. This is the only time that we are scheduled to be onsite for Pickup. Buyer is responsible for removing all items. Buyer is responsible for bringing any required manpower (Personnel to carry your items), tools, boxes, wrapping paper, tape, blankets, wheel cart or dollies needed to remove your items from the property. We will have Staff onsite to assist you in locating your items but they may not be available to assist in carrying of items. If you can't pick your items up during the time scheduled, you are responsible for designating someone to pick your items up. Items not picked up will be considered abandoned and will be disposed of at the discretion of the Auction Company and/or property owner.
