As we are able, we have opened, inspected and powered on items, however, ALL purchased items should be considered to be SOLD ON AN AS-IS BASIS.
We strongly encourage buyers to inspect their items at the time of pickup. Please note, we make an electrical power bar available on site so our pick up customers so they may test their items before leaving the premises.
Items listed as "untested" or "unable to test" are sold just as that. The purchase is at the buyer's risk and are sold on an as-is basis.
These items are store returns, overstock, shelf pulls, and canceled orders from both popular online and in person suppliers. You may research items online. Some items are unassembled in the box, so we used stock photos. Assembly may be required for some items. For any questions or clarifications, please email us at connect@offtherakk.com.
Pickup Location: 380 Lake Rd., Unit 5, Bowmanville, ON, is ONLY on days and times posted in scheduler. There may be no response to people arriving outside scheduled pick up slots.
Please pick up at the FRONT DOOR with the number 5 on it. Parking spots will be indicated.
Please note: we reserve the right to add, change, or remove items at any time up until the auction closing. In most cases, we have discovered the item has a quality issue and is not ready nor worthy to be sold..
All items are to be picked up on the pickup date buyer has booked with enough advance notice to pick, pack, and otherwise ready orders.. Otherwise, the lot will be considered abandoned, resold, and no refund will be issued!
You may rebook an appointment through the scheduler ONCE and only after canceling the original booking. Please contact us well in advance of the scheduled pickup date/time if you need to reschedule yet another slot.
BIDDING:
Winning bids are final and cannot be reversed. Please exercise your due diligence in making sure you want the product before placing a bid. Errors made in bidding do not qualify for returns or refunds.
BILLING:
Your credit card will be charged following completion of the auction unless you indicate upon registration that your preferred payment method is an EFT (email funds transfer). In which case, you have until noon the day following the auction to send your EFT to pay@offtherakk.com. If an EFT has not been made by that time payment will be charged to the credit card you supplied upon registration. Please check your email spam folder if it is more than 24 hours after the auction and you haven't received an invoice. All invoices will include a 15% buyer's premium, $1 handling fee per item, and HST.
Shipping is available unless noted in the item description. Please indicate at registration if shipping is required. Shipping is $15 within Ontario and $25 for the rest of Canada. These rates could possibly vary with items over 50lbs or larger boxes. If there is any question, please ask in advance of bidding.
REFUNDS
Refunds will only be considered in the case of gross misrepresentation. Refund claims MUST be made within six days of auction close by e-mail at connect@offtherakk.com. Any items listed with 'Sold as-is' in lot details will be final sale with no returns nor refunds permitted. Please exercise caution when bidding on any items. Additionally, no returns or refunds will be processed unless item(s) are returned to us at buyer's expense.
All refunds will be in the form of account credit to be used in future auctions unless otherwise agreed upon.
Please note that photos may differ slightly from the actual item(s). We will do our best to put all information in the lot details.
If discrepancies happen between the photo and description of any item, please refer ONLY to the description. This applies to quantity, color, size etc.
SOFT CLOSE
Items close at regular intervals. In the interest of fairness, and to prevent a bidder from 'sniping', all bids made in the last minute of the auction will force an item to stay open for an additional 2 minutes. This will continue until all bidding has ceased.
STRATEGY
We recommend that all bidders put in their maximum bid when placing a bid online. This does not mean you will have to pay the maximum amount you bid; you only pay one bid more than the next highest bid, and only up to your maximum bid. The software system will play out the bids as you would at a live auction and only uses the funds required to beat out the under-bidder at the prescribed bid increment.

Upon registration, you agree to receive marketing email and SMS messages informing you of upcoming auctions or promotions. You have the opportunity to opt out at any time.
