Online Auction Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in all online auctions conducted by Snake River Auctions LLC. By registering, bidding, or participating in any auction, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.
1. Agreement to Terms
By participating in any auction conducted by Snake River Auctions LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not participate in the auction.
2. Eligibility
Participants must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Snake River Auctions LLC reserves the right to refuse service, deny registration, or suspend bidding privileges at its discretion.
3. Registration and Account Responsibility
To participate in auctions, bidders may be required to create an account.
Bidders agree to:
Maintain the confidentiality of account credentials
Be responsible for all bids placed under their account
Notify Snake River Auctions LLC immediately if unauthorized activity occurs
All bids placed from a registered account are the responsibility of the account holder.
4. Auction Format
Auctions conducted by Snake River Auctions LLC are typically timed online auctions unless otherwise stated.
Auctions open and close at the times posted on the auction platform.
Items are sold to the highest qualified bidder at the time of closing.
Auctions may use a soft close format, meaning that bids placed near closing may extend the bidding time for that item.
Snake River Auctions LLC reserves the right to modify, pause, or cancel auctions if necessary.
5. Bidding Rules
Each bid placed represents a binding agreement to purchase the item.
Bids cannot be withdrawn once submitted.
Bidders must ensure they have the ability to pay for items they bid on.
Snake River Auctions LLC reserves the right to reject or cancel bids suspected of fraud, manipulation, or error.
Collusion, shill bidding, or attempts to manipulate auction results are strictly prohibited.
6. Payment Terms
Winning bidders must complete payment within 48 hours of the auction closing, unless otherwise stated or other arrangements have been made.
Accepted payment methods may include:
Credit or debit card
Cash (for approved local pickup)
Bank transfer or ACH
Other approved payment methods
Failure to complete payment may result in:
Bid cancellation
Suspension from future auctions
Collection actions where permitted by law
7. Buyer’s Premium
A 20% Buyer’s Premium will be added to the final winning bid price unless otherwise stated in the auction listing.
Example:
Winning Bid: $100
Buyer’s Premium (20%): $20
Subtotal: $120
Applicable Washington sales tax will be applied unless the buyer provides a valid resale certificate or tax exemption documentation.
Snake River Auctions LLC reserves the right to adjust the buyer’s premium for specific auctions or items when clearly stated in the listing.
8. Item Descriptions and Condition
Snake River Auctions LLC makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate descriptions and photographs.
However:
All items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS with no warranties or guarantees.
Descriptions are believed to be accurate but are not guaranteed.
Bidders are encouraged to inspect items prior to bidding whenever inspections are offered.
No refunds will be issued based on item condition.
9. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping may be available for select items unless otherwise stated.
All shipping, packaging, handling, and insurance costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
Additional terms:
Shipping costs will be added to the buyer’s invoice or billed separately.
Snake River Auctions LLC will determine appropriate packaging and shipping methods unless other arrangements are approved.
A minimum handling fee may be applied to each shipment, typically ranging from $10–$25, depending on item size and packaging requirements.
Items will not be shipped until full payment and all shipping charges are received.
Snake River Auctions LLC is not responsible for damage, loss, or delays once items are transferred to the shipping carrier.
10. Pickup Requirements
Buyers must pick up items during the scheduled pickup window listed in the auction details.
Buyers are responsible for:
Providing proper transportation
Bringing packing materials and assistance for loading
Verifying items at pickup
Snake River Auctions LLC may assist with loading as a courtesy but assumes no liability for damage or injury during loading.
11. Failure to Pick Up Items
Items not picked up during the scheduled pickup period may be considered abandoned property.
Snake River Auctions LLC reserves the right to:
Charge storage fees
Resell the item
Dispose of the item
Retain any payments already made
No refunds will be issued for unclaimed items.
12. Credit Card Processing Fee
Snake River Auctions LLC may charge a credit or debit card processing fee of up to 4% for payments made by card.
The processing fee will be clearly displayed on the buyer’s invoice prior to payment.
Buyers may choose alternative payment methods, if available, to avoid this fee.
13. Technical Issues
Snake River Auctions LLC is not responsible for:
Internet interruptions
Website downtime
Delayed or failed bids due to technical problems
Bidders are encouraged to place bids early and avoid waiting until the final moments of an auction.
14. Auctioneer Authority
Snake River Auctions LLC reserves the right to:
Withdraw items from auction
Reject any bid
Resolve bidding disputes
Reopen bidding if technical issues occur
All decisions made by Snake River Auctions LLC regarding bidding disputes are final and binding.
15. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
By participating in auctions, bidders agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes without first contacting Snake River Auctions LLC.
If a chargeback is initiated without attempting resolution, the buyer may be responsible for:
The full disputed amount
Bank and merchant processing fees
Collection or legal costs incurred
Snake River Auctions LLC reserves the right to pursue collection or legal action for unpaid balances.
16. Limitation of Liability
Snake River Auctions LLC shall not be liable for:
Errors in listings
Damage during shipping
Technical bidding issues
Indirect or consequential damages related to auction participation
Participation in auctions is at the bidder’s own risk.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
Any legal disputes arising from participation in auctions shall be resolved in the courts located in Franklin County or Benton County, Washington.
18. Changes to Terms
Snake River Auctions LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Updated terms will be posted on the auction website or platform. Continued participation in auctions constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
