Buyers Premium: We have a 13% buyers premium on all purchases. Buyers who do not pay within loadout times will be assessed an additional 2% late fee.
Payment Terms: All bidders must have a credit/debit card on file with HIBID that has sufficient funds to make purchases. There are no options to pay with cash or check unless otherwise stated. Buyers with invoices totaling over $10,000 may pay with cash, cashiers check or credit/debit card at loadout. Card payments will be assessed a 2% surcharge fee, split payment allowed, cc surcharge will be applied regardless. All payments MUST be made before the end of loadout. Buyers failing to do so could be banned from bidding after a failed payment.
Loadout/Pickup: Buyers MUST adhere to the loadout guidlines for each individual auction. Items must be picked up within the timeline of the sale or buyers forfeit their items. Buyers may reach out to Downs Auction buy phone only to schedule a late pickup prior to the close of an auction. Please do not assume we can do so, it must be scheduled. NO late pickup on this auction. ONE DAY LOADOUT only.
Shipping: Downs Auction DOES NOT ship items unless it is explicitly stated that an item may be shipped. Vehicles are always allowed to be transported, however you must notify Downs Auction staff prior to bidding. Items that are allowed to be shipped MUST be shipped within 1 week. Downs Auction will attempt 3 contacts within 7 days, if no contact is made items will be forfeited and refunds will not be distributed. No shipping on any estate goods.
Titled Vehicles/Trailer: All titles are mailed out the third (3rd) monday post auction. No exceptions. If a vehicle does not explicitely state the title is in hand, please assume it may take time to receive the title. No guaranty that we can obtain a title on vehicles currently without. The DMV can take several weeks/months to provide a lost or duplicate title.
Firearms: At this time Idaho is still a free trade state. Downs Auction acts as a mediator for the estates. Downs Auction requires a copy of the buyers photo ID at the time of pickup and reserves the right at any time to not release a firearm to a buyer and use a 3rd party ffl instead. The ffl transfer is the buyers expense. Buyers failing to comply or go through the ffl will not receive a refund for the purchase. No out of state firearm sales unless shipping is offered.
Sales tax: Idaho 6% sales tax is required on all in-state purchases. Out of state buyers will pay Idaho sales tax unless it is a titled vehicle/trailer. Buyers that wish to use their tax exempt status must fill out an ST-101 prior to the close of auction. After the auction Downs Auction staff will not issue a refund for tax after the payment has been made. Coins, bullion and currency are non-taxed.
