From gadgets to gizmos, and lots of home-happiness essentials, our lots are mainly new or open box products from Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Target, and even some estate sales sprinkled in for good measure. It’s like a mega warehouse-club mash-up crashing into your screen—minus the membership fee and the long checkout line! While the majority of goodies are crisp as the day they leave the factory, you might spot an occasional customer return looking for a second chance. If we see a scratch, dent, or signs of being “gently pre-loved”, you’ll find every detail of the condition spelled out in the description field of each lot. The last thing we (or you) want are any surprises. If it doesn’t live up to our description, bring it back. We cover every single sale with a 7-day return policy, even if the item failed through no fault of our own (like a manufacturer defect). The only exception is in the rare case that we label the item as “AS-IS”, which will be clearly shown in the lot title. We’re in the happiness business, not the hassle business. PAYMENT Congratulations, you won! The credit card on file will be automatically charged immediately after the auction closes for any bids that were won, unless previously arranged. If you wish to use a card that is not on file or you prefer to pay with Cash or Venmo, please notify us when you register (in the registration notes) or by text message (385-396-7123) before the conclusion of the auction. For example, send the message “Cash Buyer”, “Venmo Buyer”, or “I want to use a different credit card”. We will then remove your credit card from the other cards being processed. We do not offer a cash discount. You will receive a settlement email sometime after the auction concludes and before the next day. It will contain your invoice and possibly some instructions for pickup. If your card has been processed already, there will be a $0.00 customer balance on the invoice. Otherwise, it will show the full amount due and you can make that payment during pick-up. If you are paying with cash, please bring the appropriate change. Buyers that win but fail to pay for the items they won are effectively stealing the opportunity to win an item from another bidder. This behavior will result in that buyer being flagged in the HiBid system. Being “flagged” means that other auctioneers might be less likely to allow such buyers to participate in future auctions. SHIPPING / PICK-UP We do NOT offer parcel or freight shipping. Pick-up needs to be scheduled in the 3 DAYS (usually Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) following the auction. We are a tenant at this storage facility and ask that all questions regarding the auction be directed to us and not the storage facility workers. Pick-up times are usually FRIDAY and SATURDAY from 10am to 6pm, and also MONDAY and WEDNESDAY from 12am to 6pm. You will receive text messages to your phone number on file to provide the specific unit number at the storage facility as well as a gate code that will open the storage unit gate for entry and exit. If your phone number on file is not able to receive text messages, you will need to contact us for that information. Any changes in this schedule will be listed in the Auction Notice section. The address is: 24 Sugar Street, Layton, UT 84041?? MURRAY: We have had many bidders from the Salt Lake area come pick up items in Layton. Now, the Village Inn Restaurant in Murray has generously allowed us to use the back part of their parking lot as a pick-up location. We hope this will be more convenient for those coming from the Salt Lake area. Pick-up times in Murray will normally be on Monday ONLY from 3pm to 7pm. Pick-up appointments must be scheduled the day before (usually Sunday) to allow us to load and transport items before bringing them to Murray. Any changes in this schedule will be listed in the Auction Notice section. The address is: 5941 S State St, Murray, UT 84107?? You can schedule an appointment for either location by using our booking service on our website (youbid-auctions.com/pick-up), or by texting (385) 396-7123. After the auction closes, it is up to the successful bidders to schedule an appointment to pick up the winnings. The buyer accepts responsibility for ensuring pick-up and removal of items in a timely manner or contacting us to make other arrangements. All items should be paid for and SCHEDULED for pick-up within the 3 DAYS after the auction. Items that have not been scheduled for pick-up (without prior arrangement) will be forfeited, relisted, and resold. There will be NO refunds for the items that are relisted and resold. If you are unable to pick up your winnings during normal pick-up times, contact us and make arrangements within 3 DAYS immediately following the auction. YouBid Auctions is not responsible for failure to contact Buyers due to incorrect account information, email filters (spam or others), or any other reason. It is up to the Buyer to initiate communication to arrange pick-up. ?? We need to make sure we give your treasures to the right person. So all buyers, or those picking up for them, will need to provide the following information to claim their prize(s): -Buyer’s drivers license -Buyer’s name and Bidder Number -Buyer’s name, address, and phone number on your HiBid account -The auction settlement (either on paper or on your phone) Buyers are encouraged to double check and inspect items before they leave the pick-up location. This will be better for us and you to catch any discrepancies before removal, as well as saving you an extra trip. All discrepancies should be reported immediately. Buyers are responsible for the handling and removal of their winnings as well as preparing and packing items for transport. Bring an appropriate sized vehicle or trailer. If needed to ensure safe transport, bring the following: rope, tie-downs, straps, plastic wrap, moving blankets, tools, and/or other equipment. Buyers are encouraged to bring their own help if necessary. As a courtesy, we may offer loading assistance if needed and if we have workers available, but we are not responsible for accidents that happen while loading. If you do not want to take the risk, please bring your own help to load your winnings. YouBid Auctions is not responsible for accidental damage from an employee while assisting, handling, preparing, packaging, packing, loading, or transport of purchased items. For liability reasons, we cannot assist in securing or strapping down items on your vehicle or trailer. Return Option Prior to Use. If the buyer determines, upon inspection, that an item is unsafe or otherwise unacceptable, the buyer’s exclusive remedy is to return the item in its purchased condition within the stated return period (currently seven [7] calendar days from pick-up) for a refund in accordance with the Auctioneer’s posted return policy. Once an item has been used, altered, or installed, it is deemed accepted “as-is,” and no returns or refunds will be accepted. Indemnification. The bidder/buyer further agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Auctioneer from and against any loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) resulting from any claim or action brought by a third party in connection with the use or resale of any purchased item.
