By registering to bid with Encore Auctions, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions, which govern participation in our auctions and the purchase, payment, pickup, and shipping of items.
1. Fees & Charges
All successful bids are subject to the following fees:
A 16% Buyer’s Premium
Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)
A $1.50 handling fee per item
A 2% credit card processing fee (only applicable when paying by credit card)
These charges are non-negotiable and apply to all purchases.
2. Payment Terms
Full payment is due by 9:00 AM Eastern Time on the Friday following the close of each auction.
Encore Auctions does not automatically charge the credit card on file at auction close. Buyers are responsible for initiating payment.
Accepted payment methods include:
Credit card (2% processing fee applies)
E-transfer to payments@encoreauctions.ca (auto-deposit enabled)
Debit or cash in person during pickup hours
If payment is not received by the deadline, you authorize us to charge the credit card on file for the full invoice amount, plus the 2% processing fee.
Invoices left unpaid beyond the pickup deadline will incur a restocking fee equal to the buyer’s premium plus seller’s commission, and may result in account suspension or referral to a collections agency.
Encore Auctions does not accept payment by phone under any circumstances due to past fraudulent activity.
Any fraudulent credit card chargebacks will result in immediate account suspension. Additionally, the full outstanding amount will be forwarded to a collections agency, which may negatively impact your credit score.
3. Pickup Policy
All items must be picked up within five (5) calendar days of the auction closing date. Pickup is available only at:
23 Buchanan Court, London, Ontario
Customers must present a paid invoice to collect their items.
Testing stations are available onsite for customers to inspect their items prior to leaving.
Any items not picked up by the deadline will be considered abandoned, with no refund or credit issued. Encore Auctions does not provide assistance with loading. Please bring help if needed.
4. Pickup & Customer Service Hours
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (high volume – expect delays)
Wednesday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
5. Shipping & Delivery
Encore Auctions does not offer shipping services directly. All delivery must be arranged by the buyer through our third-party shipping partner, pkgPlace.
Selecting "shipping" during auction registration does not initiate shipping. Buyers are responsible for contacting pkgPlace directly to arrange delivery.
Items will not be released to pkgPlace until full payment is received. Shipping costs are paid separately and directly to pkgPlace.
To allow for processing and dispatch:
Shipping invoices must be paid in full by 12:00 PM (noon) on the Tuesday following the auction.
If payment has not been received by that time, Encore Auctions will automatically charge the card on file, including the 2% credit card processing fee.
Encore Auctions is not responsible for any loss, delay, or damage once items have been released to pkgPlace.
6. Returns & Item Condition
All items are sold "As Is, Where Is, with no warranties", guarantees, or representations regarding condition, completeness, or authenticity, unless explicitly stated in the listing.
If a discrepancy exists between a written item description and the accompanying images, the images will take precedence.
Testing stations are available at pickup for customers to inspect their items before leaving.

7. Bidding & Registration Rules
All bids are final and binding. Bids cannot be canceled or withdrawn once placed.
Encore Auctions uses a soft close system: any bid placed within the final 60 seconds of an auction will extend the closing time by two (2) minutes. This process repeats until no further bids are placed during the final minute.
When bidding on lots with a quantity greater than one, multiples apply. For example, a \$10 bid on a lot of 4 will result in a total purchase of \$40, plus fees and taxes.
8. Account Use & Security
All bidders must register using their own credit card. Accounts created using another person’s card will be deactivated.
Bidders are solely responsible for all activity under their accounts. Purchases made by family members, employees, or others using your account will be treated as your responsibility. No exceptions.
Encore Auctions may require photo ID and credit card verification at pickup to prevent fraud.
9. Liability & Parking Lot Disclaimer
Encore Auctions is not liable for injuries, theft, or property damage occurring on the premises, including in the parking lot at 23 Buchanan Court. By visiting the property, you assume all associated risks.
Leaving garbage, packaging, or skids in the parking lot is strictly prohibited. Customers who leave materials behind will be billed a minimum of $10 per package and $100 per skid for cleanup. Repeat violations may result in account suspension.
10. Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. By participating in any Encore Auctions event, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ontario courts for any legal matters.
