Description
Lot includes a period 19th century tall case clock with an unusual carved ripple case and round European style dial. The clock is reported to be American, however is not marked. Overall the clock is in good antique condition showing minor expected ware from age and use, sold for decorative use in untested condition. Includes original pendulum & Weights. Measurements: 9.5"D x 19.5"W x 89"T Pickup Terms: All items in this auction are located at our Oakville, CT gallery. Pickup is available by appointment only from the Tuesday following the auction, to that Saturday, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM each day. A scheduling link will be sent via email after the auction for you to book your pickup appointment. (Note: If you cannot make the pickup window you MUST reach out to the auctioneer BEFORE bidding to make other arrangements) All items must be picked up by the Saturday following the auction. Any items not collected by this date will incur storage fees of $5 per lot per day unless prior arrangements are made with the auctioneer. Gallery Pickup Dates: Tuesday, Feb 18th - Saturday, Feb 22nd Quick "Need to Knows" before you bid? Auction items can be picked up at our gallery in Oakville CT the Tuesday to Saturday following the auction date from 10:00am to 3:00pm each day UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED. By Appointment Only (If you cannot make the above pickup dates, please contact the auctioneer BEFORE you bid to make other arrangements) Yes, there is only six (6) available days for the pickup of your items. Any items remaining after these dates are subject to storage fees. We DO NOT provide in house shipping. Shipping is provided through 3rd party shippers only (More information below) It is your responsibility to read these terms & conditions in full before bidding. PICKUPING UP YOUR PURCHASES: All items in this auction are to be picked up at our gallery located at 28 Main Street, Oakville CT 06779. Pickups are strictly by appointment only and are scheduled from the Tuesday to Saturday following the auction date, between 10:00am EST and 3:00pm EST each day, these pickup dates are subject to change. Winning bidders will receive appointment/ links via email upon completion of the auction. A Storage fee of $5 per day will be applied to any items not picked up before end of day on the Saturday following the auction. We anticipate that all our customers have meticulously read the auction terms and conditions before placing bids and have a comprehensive understanding of the pickup requirements. Bidders are responsible for bringing any and all necessary tools, help, and machinery to ensure the safe removal of their purchases on the specified days. Please note, no supplies or tools will be available on-site to assist in removal. East-Wing is not accountable for missed pickups. It is solely your responsibility to ensure availability and capability to pick up your items during the allotted pickup window. An email, containing a link to schedule a pickup appointment, will be sent to you following the auction. All pickups are strictly by appointment; unappointed arrivals may face waiting times or the gallery being closed. Failure to collect your items constitutes abandonment if left at the gallery for over 30 days after the close of the pickup window, and no refunds will be issued under such circumstances. You will not be given any notice and your items will be resold without compensation to the buyer. TERMS OF PICK-UP Removal shall be at the sole expense, liability, and risk of the purchaser. All successful bidders who have not previously made 3rd party shipping arrangements are expected to pickup their purchases within the pickup window. If your purchases are not picked up within the pickup window you then forfeit your items with no exceptions or refunds being given under any circumstances. Any abandoned items will be left on site and disposed of if prior arrangements with the auctioneer were not made. Forfeited invoices will not be refunded under any circumstances. It is ultimately your responsibility to ensure you are available and prepared for the pickup, packaging, and moving of your purchases at the pickup location within the listed pickup window. There will be no moving assistance for you at the pickup location. You are expected to bring with you all the necessary packing materials and moving assistance required to remove your items. Please do not bid if you cannot make the arrangements to properly move the items you are purchasing. If at any time a member of our staff feels that you are not adequately prepared, or incapable of properly moving an item where we feel there is a risk of damage to our facility, or injury of yourself and others. We will ask you to stop until you can make the proper arrangements to move the items in question. If you cannot get the help required to safely move a large item before the close of the pickup window your items will be forfeited and considered abandoned with no refunds or credit. If during the removal of your purchases from the home, you damage property in any way you will be required to pay for the damage incurred at your sole expense. Contact the auctioneer for a list of available shippers. ABSENTEE BIDS & RESERVES: We accept absentee bids by phone (subject to availability), by mail, or in person. Absentee bids need to be requested no later than 24 hours before the auction. We will require a valid Credit Card to be placed on file before any absentee bids can be accepted. If you mail in your absentee bids please call us to confirm that we received them. All absentee bidding is managed as though you are in attendance. We will bid on your behalf on all designated lots at the bidding increments just above where the competition stops. Please check these increments before placing your bids to understand where your bids may end up. All absentee bids will start at the listed starting bid unless there are two or more competing absentee bids at a price higher than that in which case we will place you bid at the next highest bidding increment. Because of the way our bidding is structured, it is possible that several people will leave identical bids, the winning bid will go to the bidder who placed / sent in there absentee bid first. All absentee bidder names and bids are held in strictest confidence, disclosed only in the event of a question after the sale. Absentee bidding is a convenience offered to our customers and while we will make every effort to execute your instructions, East-Wing Estate Sales is not liable or responsible for any errors or failure to do so. A reserve is the confidential minimum price established between the auctioneer and the consignor. East-Wing may implement a reserve on a particular lot by bidding on behalf of the consignor up to the reserve price. If the bidding on a lot fails to reach the reserve price, the lot will be bought-in by the auctioneer and the highest underbid brought to the attention of the consignor for consideration. If the consignor decides they would like to sell the item at the highest offered bid we will reach out to the bidder and offer them the lot at the underbid price. PHONE BIDDING: When telephone bidding is available, telephone bid lines are given on a first-come, first-serve basis - please reserve your phone bid as soon as possible. All requests for phone bids must be placed 24 hours before the auction. If you need condition reports or more information on a particular lot contact the auctioneer prior to requesting the phone bid. At the time of the auction we will call you at the phone number(s) given ONLY. If you are unsure of where you or your agent will be during the sale, we recommend you leave absentee bids instead. All requests for overseas phone bids must be accompanied by absentee bids, which will be executed on the buyer's behalf should there be any problems with telephone connections. Your phone number and lots will be confirmed before the auction. Please do not change your phone number after your phone lines have been confirmed; if you do, East-Wing Estate Sales will not be responsible for any breakdown in communications. Bids are placed on the phone at the sole discretion of East-Wing Estate Sales, and at the caller's risk. Telephone bidding is a convenience offered to our customers and while we will make every effort to execute your instructions, East-Wing is not liable or responsible for any errors or failure to do so. PAYMENT: All invoices must be paid in full no later than 5 days after the close of the auction. Invoices for successful bidders will be sent out the evening of the auction close. If we have a Credit card on file for you and your invoice total is under $5,000 usd, it will be automatically billed after the close of the auction. For payments taken over the phone your billing address registered to your account must match the card you are providing over the phone with no exceptions. Any invoice greater than $5,000 usd payment must be made by a bank wire, Zelle, Venmo, or cash. For invoice totals over $15,000 payments can only be made by Bank Wire or Cash. Or you can make a payment using there LivePayments system anytime) For purchases of Gold & Silver: If you are purchasing gold or silver in our auction we may require additional verification from you prior to your receipt of the items. For purchases of gold or silver in excess of $300 payments must be made via bank wire, Zelle, Venmo or Cash (Over $2,500 by Bank Wire or Cash only). Due to an increased number of fraudulent accounts all new customers must adhere to this rule. Customers who have purchased from 3 or more of our auctions without incident may pay for gold & silver purchases normally with their card. We reserve the right to hold any Gold or Silver purchases for up-to 10 buisness days in order to recieve further verification from the customer. BUYER'S PREMIUM A buyer's premium of 25% will be added to the hammer price of each item. Sales tax is then applied to the invoice total unless a valid resale certificate is already on file. We will require a copy of your resale certificate as well as the CT Resale Form (Found on our website) to be filled out and sent to us via email prior to the tax being removed. The information on the resale certificate must match the information on your account for the tax to be removed we cannot remove the tax if the information does not match. It is ultimately your responsibility to provide us with a copy of your certificate. WARRANTIES: Condition reports are made to the best of our ability but are not guarantees. No employee is authorized to make any warranties, expressed or implied, on behalf of East-Wing Estate Sales, LLC. Items described as "Appears to", "possibly", "probably" or "attributed to" are not to be considered a guarantee, but rather the matter of opinion of the auctioneer. No guarantee is made in relation to an items condition. All items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS. And ALL SALES ARE FINAL. AUCTIONEER'S DETERMINATION: A lot will be sold to the highest bidder as determined at the auctioneer's sole discretion. The auctioneer will also have the sole discretion to resolve any disputes between bidders and determine whether to pass or re-offer a lot for sale. The auctioneer may reject or challenge any bid or advance in the bidding. WITHDRAWAL OF PROPERTY FROM SALE: East-Wing Estate Sales, LLC reserves the right to withdraw property from the sale for any reason and with no liability for such withdrawal. RESCISSION BY PURCHASER If within thirty (30) days after the sale the original purchaser gives written notice to East-Wing Estate Sales alleging that the age, authenticity, condition, genuineness, quantity, period, culture, source, or origin as set forth in the terms of sale and warranted by East-Wing Estate Sales, as evidenced in the written condition report obtained by the purchaser, were materially inaccurate and misleading and substantially overstated the value of the Property, and returns the Property with five (5) days of receiving this permission in the same condition it was in at the time of sale and proves the truth of such allegations to the satisfaction of East-Wing Estate Sales, the sale of such lot will be rescinded, East-Wing will refund the full purchase price to the purchaser. Refunds shall not include costs of transportation or shipping, insurance, or other expenses that may have been incurred by the purchaser. After 30 days from the date of purchase (NOT the date of delivery) the guarantee will expire and all items are then sold as-is, where-is and there will be no returns for any reason. This limited right of rescission is available only to the original purchaser and may not be relied upon by any heir, agent, transferee, assign, or other third party or assigned to any subsequent transferee of the Property which gives rise to the claim. The purchaser acknowledges and expressly agrees that the provisions of this paragraph state the sole and exclusive remedy available to a purchaser in the event of nonconformity in Property purchased. The purchaser understands and agrees that the exclusive remedy for any breach of the warranty shall be a rescission of the sale and a refund of the original purchase price (bid plus buyer's premium), as well as any applicable taxes paid. Neither East-Wing Estate Sales nor its consignor shall be liable for damages beyond the remedy expressly provided for herein, such as but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential, including the loss of profit or revenue, cost of obtaining alternative property, claims of customers of the purchaser or otherwise.

Our gallery does not offer in-house shipping services, but we've streamlined the process with trusted third-party shipping companies to ensure a smooth transaction for our customers. Here?s a brief overview: Step 1: Get quotes for shipping your items BEFORE you bid. Simply provide the shipper with the lot number your interested in and your address and they will let you know how much it will be to ship it. Step 2: Select a shipper from our list of preferred providers, and reach out to them directly to arrange the picking up & shipping of your items.
