Description |
The 1985 Ford F-250 is a full-size pickup truck that belongs to Ford's F-Series 8 th generation. It is a rare specimen from that era because it is a super-cab. The interior is in good condition for the age of the vehicle.
This F-250 has the longer 8-foot option, suitable for hauling larger loads. There is an after-
market tool box in the back.
It contains the more powerful 460cc, 5.8-liter V8 engine, delivering around 150 horsepower and
270 lb-ft of torque. It has 4-speed manual transmission standard, designed for heavy-duty tasks. It has the right equipment to tow up to 8,000 pounds, making it a solid choice for those who needed a reliable truck for work or recreational use.
It features a solid front axle with leaf spring suspension, which helped it maintain stability when
carrying heavy loads or towing trailers. Its rear suspension was also leaf-spring based, designed for durability and heavy-duty hauling.
The ride is generally firm, and handling could be more truck-like compared to modern pickups,
especially when loaded. It is a tough 4x4.
An auxillary fuel pump has been added and the switch is under the dash. The key release in the
steering column is broken.
It comes with a western snowplow! The pump is attached to the pickup through a custom welded frame and front bumper. The plow is in the back of the truck waiting to be bolted on. Taken out of service in 2021.
