NEW: Effective Sept. 13th, 2023 prior to transfer a firearm, rifle, shotgun or ammunition to a purchaser you MUST go through NYS to complete the background check process. ** $9.00 per firearm transaction ** 2.50 per ammunition transaction If you purchase a firearm and ammunition on one invoice you will be charged $11.50 via NYS. * These charges will be added on your invoice as a line item and you will be charged when we run your credit card at the end of the auction to NYS Buyers ONLY. * If you are an out-of-state buyer who is picking up a firearm or ammunition you MUST have CASH for the NYS NICS fees * If you a NYS resident that request shipping and have been charged the line item charge we will take that off of your shipping/handling for this auction. PICK UP INFORMATION: * You agree to pick up dates and times per Terms and Conditions, Please be aware of dates and times, we cannot keep holding items past pick up dates. * Firearm purchases require an appointment, links will be sent with your invoice after the auction. * If your county requires special paperwork (ex. Monroe), please send an email requesting the pistol paperwork 24 hours notice required! * All Ammo & acessories can come anytime on scheduled pick up days, *** Monday 9:30-5:00pm, Tuesday 12:00 pm-7:00 pm, and Wednesday, 9:30-5:00 pm * If you are purchasing any firearm please be sure you are buying it under YOUR NAME. No one else can buy or pick up a firearm, only the name of the purchaser. * OUR OFFICE IS CLOSED THURSDAY AND SUNDAYS * Please bring help to load the items you purchase. If you buy Generators, large or heavy items like gun safes, bring multiple capable people to help you load! - This Includes the correct safe moving equipment (ie, Gun Safes) Hessney Auction is an FFL and NYS DEALER. All paperwork for firearms will be done on site at no extra cost. * If you purchase a handgun that needs to be added to your pistol permit, PLEASE contact your county for information. You can print out the paid invoice we email you and bring it (or send it, whatever your county's rules are) to your pistol permit office. They will add the handgun to your permit and issue you a purchase coupon for your handgun. You will then come to pick up your hangun at Hessney Auction Center. Be sure to bring NYS pistol permit, receipt, and purchase coupon . * MONROE COUNTY Hand Gun Buyers, Your county requires extra paperwork, we have over 500 buyers per auction, you must REQUEST your counties paperwork from us by EMAIL, with your full name and we will email it back to you, this request must be made with at least 24 hour notice to your scheduled County Appointment, you cannot call us while at the county and expect this paperwork to be sent over in 5 minutes. Please Advise. * Each county may have different hours/instructions. We realize many cannot pick up the week after auction; simply make an appointment by email for Monday - Wednesday the following week (or when you receive your purchase coupon). All firearm purchases require a Federal Background Check (NICS Check) unless you have a Federal Firearms License. All pistols require a NYS pistol permit unless you have a federal firearms license. Some firearms are not NYS compliant. Read the descriptions prior to bidding. SHIPPING: You will be emailed and/or texted a link from Shipping Saint and Hessney Auction Co., you are asked to choose "Shipping" or "Pick up' If you select shipping, our staff will gather your items once moved to our shipping area you will receive another notification, when the items are packed you will get a text and email again with the cost and have to pay for your label as well as a tracking number. Once paid we will print it out and mail it. Please be patient. We have 100's of packages to send out each week and a small staff, however we try our best to keep all costs low. Each package will have a 5-10 handling fee. All Priority boxes are $5 flat fee handling. Any new boxes depending on size can cost up to $10.00 Costs to buyers for shipping is based on USPS or UPS and the above handling charge. If you purchase ammo and our a NYS buyer, please see instructions below. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Shipments will start on Monday, and could possibly take 1-2 weeks. We will charge your registration credit card for your purchases. Once the shipping is calculated, we will charge your card for a second time. This process is much more convenient for us. Items typically ship within 2 weeks. We do our very best as we have a small staff, which also helps keep your costs down. **** FIREARM SHIPMENTS do not begin until THURSDAY, * WE DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY (Except Canada) * WE CANNOT SHIP PRIMERS, POWDER OR MOUNTS. * WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO BRING ITEMS DEEMED HEAVY OR FRAGILE TO THE UPS STORE IN GENEVA FOR SHIPMENT IF NECESSARY. ** Firearms Shipping: Please have your FFL email us a copy of their license for shipment. Be sure that they include YOUR NAME or if you are a C&R, please email us a copy of your license. When we receive the FFL/C&R we will begin to pack your items. All postage, insurance and $10 handling fee will be added to EACH shipment for firearms. ** Ammunition Shipping: NYS RESIDENTS: All ammunition must be shipped to an FFL. For all out of state buyers, we will follow any federal regulations for shipping and amAmmo is shipped via UPS due to restrictions with USPS. There will be a $5 handling fee per package. * Please note in descriptions items that we will not ship. *NOTE: New York State law requires that a National Instant Criminal Background Check must be completed prior to all firearm sales or transfers, including sales or transfers of rifles or shotguns. The sale of transfer of a firearm, rifle or shotgun at a gun auction without first conducting a Background Check is a crime.
