By registering and bidding in our auction, you agree to the following terms:
SHIPPING:
We hold several individual weekly auctions, which are timed so that the live auction portion will take approximately 1 hour per 100 coins. Each day's auction is separately invoiced, but shipping is combined for all auctions within a week. Shipping will be included on your invoice(s). We use USPS for most shipping, but will ship by registered mail, Fedex, or UPS at our discretion, or by request. Some shipping methods require an additional charge. Any customs duties, fees, or taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please see below for our standard shipping charges. We typically ship all paid invoices for a given week in less than one week after the close of that week's final auction, but we do not guarantee a specific shipping timeframe.
BUYER'S PREMIUM:
There is a buyer's premium of 15% for all credit and debit card payments. For invoices under $5000, the premium can be reduced to 12.5% if you pay by Zelle, bank wire, or paper check. For same week combined invoice totals of $5000 or more, we can discount the buyer's premium only for payment by paper check or wire transfer. The reduced buyer's premium can be applied to these payments ONLY IF YOU CONTACT US FIRST to adjust your invoice. We cannot accept money orders as payment.
BILLING & PAYMENT:
Your credit card on file with HiBid is your primary payment method, and we will bill your card on file for any lots won unless you have already made other payment arrangements. The day on which we intend to charge cards on file is shown in the "bidding notice" for each auction. Please note that invoices that are awaiting payment by check/e-check/wire transfer that are not paid in a reasonable timeframe may be billed to your credit card on file with the usual credit card buyer's premium. If your card on file bounces, we will notify you, and may retry the card at a later date if the invoice is still unpaid. Payment is due within one week of the date on which we first send out invoices; if you are unable to pay or make specific payment arrangements within that time, we reserve the right to cancel your invoice at our discretion.
WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT ACH PAYMENTS AT THIS TIME. If paying by ACH pull, aka "e-check," you will receive a link to a web page where you can submit payment. You agree and affirm that you are authorized to make payments from the bank account you provide, and that each payment you submit is an authorized and intentional payment of an invoice. You agree that your acceptance of these terms plus your submission of ACH payment, whether through our web form or by email, constitutes authorization of payment.
RETURN POLICY:
1. Discretionary Returns: All sales are final. At the sole discretion of Auctioneer, a discretionary return may be granted provided written notice is submitted within seven (7) days of delivery.
2. Restocking Fee: Any approved discretionary return is subject to a non-negotiable Restocking Fee equal to [15%] of the total purchase price (hammer price plus buyer’s premium). Original shipping, handling, and insurance fees are strictly non-refundable. Buyer shall be solely responsible for all insured return shipping costs.
3. Net Refund Calculation: Refunds will be calculated as follows:
[Net Refund = Total Purchase Price - Restocking Fee - Original Shipping]
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only after the returned item is received, inspected, and confirmed by Auctioneer to be in its original, unaltered condition and holder.
4. Chargeback Prohibition & Administrative Remedies: Buyer expressly acknowledges and agrees that the Restocking Fee represents liquidated administrative and re-listing costs. Buyer agrees not to initiate a credit card chargeback for any assessed Restocking Fee on an authorized return. Should Buyer file a chargeback in breach of this agreement, Buyer agrees to pay all collection costs and fees associated with the chargeback.
5. We guarantee the authenticity of coins as defined below in the "grading and other information" section of our terms. Coins found to be counterfeit or not authentic by the PCGS, NGC, ICG, or ANACS grading services may be returned without a restocking fee, and are not constrained by the time limit in part 1. At the Auctioneer's discretion, we may accept other expert opinions or proof that a coin is counterfeit. The grading service must label the coin in question "counterfeit" or "not authentic" to qualify; other differences such as color, details/damage, or grade do not qualify as counterfeit.
GRADING AND OTHER INFORMATION:
Our coins are certified by third parties, and are sold as is. Our pictures are very clear, and you will receive the exact coin you bid on. All coins have a lifetime guarantee against being counterfeit. Counterfeit is defined as an imitation or replica coin which was not so identified in our description text or in the photos, or as a coin which has been altered to change its apparent mintage, date, or denomination, and which was not thusly described in our auction description or photos. You agree to accept and abide by this definition of "counterfeit."
Grading services are beyond our control, and we do not guarantee current or future grading in any way. Submitting coins for grading is at your own risk. You understand and agree that any grading service results, expert opinions as to grade and condition, and similar obtained subsequent to purchase are the subjective opinion of that service or person, and that no difference of opinion as to grade, to include matters of toning and cleaning, constitutes a coin being "counterfeit." Price guide / list price information comes from PCGS and is not a guarantee of resale value. We do not guarantee grading or resale value, and returns for any reason related to grading or resale are not accepted. No refund can be made if merchandise is not returned to us.
Centsles sells coins owned by third party consignors. We do not grade or evaluate the coins we sell, and we represent and market the coins in our auctions using the grades, descriptions, values, and other information provided to us by our consignors.
In the event of a listing error, such as a coin not matching the HiBid title/description or holder information, we will always try to satisfy the bidder, but reserve the right to cancel the sale. On occasion, some of our lots have a hidden reserve price which is not visible to bidders, and we are unable to sell lots when the high bid does not exceed this hidden reserve.
