Rare 3 Gallon jug excellent condition. Kiln mark on side as can be seen in pictures!! this piece is consigned from a private NC Estate and has never been on the market. Issac Lefever Jug Rare Potter from Catawba Valley N.C. Isaac Lefever was Daniel Seagles second apprentice. He is listed in the 1850 Lincoln county cunsus as living with the Seagle family. It is possible that he was related to the Lefever pottery family from East Tennessee. Isaac enlisted in the confederate Army and was killed in 1864 at the Battle of Petersburg. His wares are signed IL on the handle of crocs and on the shoulder of jugs. His wares are very rare and are made just like Daniel Seagles fine crocks and jugs. Jug has a small reserve set by seller. This piece has been in the family and never offered for sale!
