Bidder Registration
All bidders must have a valid credit card on file with HiBid for verification before bidding. By registering, you authorize the auctioneer to charge the credit card on file immediately following the close of the auction, as outlined below. All buyers may be responsible for sales and use tax in their respective jurisdictions. All sales are final, and no chargebacks will be accepted.
Currency & Buyer’s Premium
All bids are in U.S. dollars (USD). A 15% Buyer’s Premium applies to all lots, calculated on the hammer price.
Payment
You acknowledge that payment in full is due at the close of the auction and authorize the credit card on file with HiBid to be charged immediately afterward. A 3% credit card processing fee (shown as a “surcharge” on the final invoice) applies to all card payments. For invoices over $1,000, the auctioneer may require payment by wire transfer or certified funds.
Chargebacks / Stop-Payments
By registering and bidding, you agree not to initiate a credit card chargeback or bank stop-payment for any reason. You further agree that these Bidder Terms and Conditions, your registration, and your participation in the auction constitute irrefutable authorization for all charges to your card. They also serve as conclusive proof to your credit card issuer or bank that the charge is valid and must not be reversed if a chargeback is attempted.
Any chargeback or stop-payment constitutes a breach of these terms. You remain liable for the full invoice amount, plus any collection costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees incurred to recover funds.
Shipping (Shipping-Only; No Local Pickup)
We ship exclusively to U.S. addresses (including Alaska and Hawaii) and Canada. All items are securely packed, and shipping charges are automatically added at checkout. Shipping costs include both third-party carrier fees (USPS or UPS) and our company’s internal costs for packaging, labeling, and carrier drop-off.
You may calculate shipping prior to bidding. The final shipping charge shown on your invoice will reflect the published rates in the table below.

Handling
A flat $5 handling fee is added to all orders covering the cost of picking, packing and packaging materials.
Final Note on Shipping
Multiple lots of differing sizes may be shipped separately. You will receive an email with all tracking numbers once your order ships. All orders are shipped via USPS or UPS with tracking. Insurance is available at the buyer’s expense upon request. The seller is not responsible for loss or damage in transit if insurance is not requested.
Item Condition & Descriptions
All items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS — no returns or refunds. By bidding, you agree to purchase items regardless of condition. Descriptions are believed to be accurate but are not guaranteed. Photos are considered part of the description; in the event of a discrepancy between text and photo, the photo takes precedence.
While we strive for accuracy, errors or omissions may occur. The buyer is responsible for verifying all information before bidding. If a lot is lost or destroyed prior to shipment, you will be refunded the hammer price and the buyer’s premium for that lot.
Comic grading reflects our opinion only. Defects may exist that are not noted. We do not guarantee detection of restoration, cleaning, pressing, or other alterations. The comic(s) shown are the exact ones you will receive.
Bidding Rules
Soft Close: Any bid placed within the last two minutes will extend bidding on that lot by two minutes, until no further bids are received.
Irrevocable Bids: All bids are binding and may not be retracted. The bidder is responsible for all bids placed under their account and should maintain account security.
With Reserve; Seller’s Confirmation; Withdrawal: All lots are offered with reserve, which may be published or remain confidential at the seller’s discretion (“Reserve”). The auctioneer may withdraw any lot prior to the fall of the hammer. Certain lots may be sold subject to the seller’s confirmation.
Reserve Protection (Disclosure): The auctioneer may place bids on behalf of the seller up to, but not exceeding, the reserve price.
Bid Control & Disputes: Bid increments are set at the auctioneer’s discretion. The auctioneer may reject any bid and may cancel, extend, pause, or reopen bidding to resolve disputes. The auctioneer’s records are final and conclusive.
Technology Interruptions
Online bidding depends on third-party platforms and internet connectivity, which may fail or extend closing times. The auctioneer is not responsible for missed, failed, or delayed bids, or for platform errors, and may extend, pause, or reopen lots at their discretion.
Title, Risk of Loss, and Delivery
Title passes upon receipt of cleared funds. Risk of loss transfers to the buyer once the item is handed over to the carrier (UPS or USPS). All shipments are FOB origin.
Returned or Failed Payments
Returned or reversed payments are subject to a $100 administrative fee, plus collection costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees.
Forfeiture
Any winning items (including associated fees, shipping, and handling) not paid by 5 PM the day after the auction are considered forfeited and may be resold. No refunds will be issued for forfeited items. You remain liable for any resale deficiency, plus applicable costs.
Limit of Remedies
The buyer’s sole remedy, if any, is rescission and refund of the hammer price and buyer’s premium actually paid for the affected lot. No incidental, consequential, or special damages (including lost profits) will be available.
Indemnification
The buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the auctioneer and seller from any losses, claims, or expenses arising from participation in the auction or from the purchase, removal, shipment, or use of any lot.
