1.At the discretion of Mapes Auctioneers & Appraisers, any large invoice may be required to be paid by cash, postal money order, cashier’s check or wire transfer following the close of the auction. 2. All invoices totaling $2,000 or greater will require a copy of photo ID. 3.Returned (bounced) checks will incur a $25 charge. 4.Mapes Auctioneers & Appraisers will not ship to an address not listed on your HiBid account. 5.No Items are to be removed from the auction premises until they are paid for in full. 6.There is a 15% buyers premium in effect for this auction. 7.All bidders should be aware of their tax liabilities when bidding. All purchases in New York State will be subject to 8.00% sales tax, unless the purchaser has a New York State Sales Tax Exemption Number. Exemption numbers from other states are not valid in New York. A current New York Out-of-State Resale Certificate (OSR) must be provided for exemption. 8.Pickups are to be made by appointment. Buyer assumes responsibility to make arrangements with Mapes Auctioneers & Appraisers to pick up their item. If items are not picked up within 10 days of the close of the auction and alternate arrangements are not made, we reserve the right to consider these items abandoned property. They will be resold or otherwise disposed of without further notice. 9.All items are sold in "as-is" condition with all faults, no warranty implied or intended. 10.All sales are final. There will be no refunds, chargebacks, replacements or exchanges. 11.All items are made available to the buyer for inquiry and inspection prior to bidding. Written and oral descriptions are the opinions of Mapes Auctioneers & Appraisers and should in no way be construed as a guarantee of authenticity, age, condition, materials or any other feature of items being sold. 12.Buyers are responsible for previewing items in order to make independent judgments on condition, or having an agent do so on their behalf. 13.The buyer assumes full responsibility for items at the conclusion of the online auction. 14.A bid entered by mistake on the bidder's part is NOT grounds for a cancellation of the bid. Each bidder is responsible for his or her own account and bids. Allowing access to another individual who enters a bid without your knowledge will NOT be grounds for a rescission of the bid(s). Any bid made on your account will bind you to the bid in accordance with these terms. 15.When applicable, buyer is responsible for paying true shipping expenses in addition to handling fees- which may vary depending on size and fragility of the item. 16.It is the buyers responsibility to request shipping quotes prior to bidding on an item. Bids will not be retracted due to shipping expense, or for any other reason.
